@ and # tags!

So, I just turned on @ mentions and # tags.  It's why we now have that uggo top bar.  I tried to turn it off, but everything just stopped working.  You can get rid of it by hitting the up arrow, and your notifications will still turn up under the quote generator.

Onwards!

You can now tag people or invite them into your threads using an @.  Just tag them like this:

Because most of us have spaces in our names, you need to use the quotation marks. If it was just one name you'd leave out those quotes.

It should be turned on by default, but if you're not getting notified when someone mentions you, it could be because you don't have it turned on.  Go to your profile, the tab that says notifications and turn it on in the toolbar (you can't turn on email notification).

You can also add hashtags to your topics.  Hitting a hashtag will show you all the topics with that tag.  They work like on twitter and stuff, I'm sure you're all way better at that stuff than me.  You can also go to your profile and there's a tab there called tags where you can follow different hashtags.

OH and if you want the notification to stop coming up, you'll need to hit the "see all notifications" link, scroll down and there's a list of notifications under the options for how to be notified.

Delete those.

Also, where do we link the app? I checked my profile stuff, but I couldn't find it.

It's through the contact info. I'm not sure if I made it so the admins have to do it for you though. We're probably going to do them all after an activity check.

If you find you can do it, just copy the web address of your app into the text bar.

Looks like we peasants do not have access yet. We shall wait for the overlords to bestow it upon us.
