What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

This Christmas we are having a festival.
The name (currently) is "Candy Cane Festival". It may change, but that was Darren's idea, however surprising it may seem.
Now, this festival is based around a trip to Iceland which all of Hogwarts has been invited to go to. In Iceland, there is General Roleplay (basically anything wintery), a Christmas Ball (yes, another dance!) and a Talent Show (many acts performed by YOU!).
This event will go over quite a period of time, as it's nice to have something going on in between the two terms. The current dates are from Monday 15th December until Monday 5th January. This is three weeks, but I'm assuming that a lot of people won't be too active around Christmas, so it has to start a while before and finish a while after it. Classes won't be on during this time, although you will be allowed to roleplay around Hogwarts, as some students stay there for Christmas (or you can "go home" and not roleplay there if you prefer).
Also, please note this festival includes New Year's Eve.

Oh, sounds interesting! Can we dress up??? And is there going to be a Yule Ball? Like a xmas party end of year dance?

I think we should just go out there as normal clothes, and besides it not halloween, it Christmas. She said there is going to be a Christmas Ball, which is different from Yule Ball for the Tri Wizard Tourment.

The Christmas ball is a general, end-of-term/Christmas dance. You can dress up for the dance, but no point for winter roleplay stuff really.

Gin, they both have snow I swear...
Greenland is covered in snow, & iceland with ice XD. Iceland is too far north to be green.
