It was a nice day out and Jakb found himself with so free time so he decided to take himself down to the lake. A smile spread actross his face as he stepped out of the dark castle and into the sun. There was nithin like the feeling of the warm bright sun on his face and the smell of fresh air to brighten his day. With a rlazed sigh he shoved his hands in his pockets and strolled down to the lawn tward the big expanse of water that held man wonderful creatures. Maybe he could get one of them to come out and playtoday.

Dakota was still extremely depressed ever since her encounter with vaughn and the wicked witch that stole him from her. She sighed as she walked outside and the bright sun practically blinded her. She hissed in a bit of pain before grumbling about it being to light out and went towards the lake. She sat ubderbeath a big oak tree and watched students mull by chattering about whatever it was they were talking about. She sighed and felt a tear fall down her cheek. She missed vaughn. Suddenly she felt something on her leg. She looked down and jumped up with a scream when she saw a spider

There was a screm coming from somewhere near and Jakob peered around until he found what was producing it. It seemed to be coming from a girl with bright red hair and was jumping around. With a shake of his head he ran over to see what was wrong. "Hey, what's all the screaming for?" He asked.
That's when he saw it a tiny little spider. "you know they are more scared of you than you are of them," he chuckled crouching down and scooping the little thing up in his hands. "And its not like you didn't venture out in to its territory."

"More scared of me? At least i dont have venomous saliva." dakota said a bit snarkily. She sighed and looked up to see a handsome boy maybe a year or two older than herself. "Sorry for being so rude. Im just... Going through alot at the moment" dakota said blushing a bit. "Im dakota. Dakota rose. 3th year slytherin" she held out her hand and smiled softly. She recalled professor selwyns words. She needed to move on from vaughn and get over the painful heart break he had instilled in her body and her soul. She say down after he shook her hand and looked at him

"Neither does this little guy," Jakob said smiling lopsidedly down at the little spider in his "He's just a jumping spider. He'll bite but it's harmless." He looked up at the girl laughter shining in his eyes. He was enjoying this. "Jakob, Jakob Lycanthe." He introduced himself reaching out with the hand that he was not holding the spider in. "And not rude at all just a little startled." He flashed her a quick smile before playing with the spider that was crawling around on his hand trying to get away. "See nothing to be afraid of here." He spoke to not only the girl but the arachnid too.

"Lycanthe... I know that name. Youre tristans brother arent you. Shes in my house. About 2 or 3 years older than me though. Shes a cool girl" she smiled and watched him play with the spider "ughhh i dont see how you can do that. I would be freaking out beyond control" she giggled aoftly and moved her bright red hair out of her face to expose her golden eyes. "So what brings you out here?" she asked as she saw another spider. She shovered with fear and moved closer to jakob to get away from the spider and its creepy 8 legs and teeth. Ahe sighed softly

"Yeah, that's my big sister," Jakob sighed, of course she knew her.
A soft chuckle ecaped from him as she told him she would be freaking out if the spider was in her hands instead of his. "Oh that be a sight to see with the way you reacted with him just being close to you. "The weather, the bugs, and the like." He said with a shrug, "though that seems to be a question I should be asking you. What brings you out here if your going to scream at ever little arachnid that gets close? You know the screaming makes it worse right?"

Dakota listened to him and smiled. He had an extremely calmong voice that made her feel at pease and serene for the first time in a very long time. She laughed when he mentionex her holding a spider. Just then. One crawled on her hand. She whined and held her hand up "get it off me get it off me get it off me!" she whined more and waited for him to take it off her. When the spider was off she took a breath "i need to get away from people and think. I recently had a nasty break up that involved him cheating on me. His name is vaughn hunter"

With a laugh Jakob took the spider off of Dakota's hand. "He won't hurt you unless he's scared." He reminded her jokingly. "Oh He's in Gyffindor too right?" He asked. Jake had seen Vaughn around the common room and didn't know him well but he never thought he was the type of guy to cheat on such a pretty girl. He shrugged and sat down next to Dakota. "Wanna talk about it? Or do you want to blow up something?" he asked with a lopsided grin. "Personally i'd choose to go down by the gamekeepers cabin and barrow some pumpkins. Though they don't seem to be to happy once i'm done."

"Yes he is a gryffindor. Arent they known for loyalty? Or is that hufflepuff?" she asked wrinkling her nose a bit. She smiled as he sat by her and blushed lightly giggling a bit. She leaned against him a tiny bit and smiled "as great as talking sounds. Id much rather blow up pumpkins." she jumped up her hair bouncing as she did on her toes. She smiled widely her eyes sparkling with joy "lets go lycanthe!" she began running for the pumpkin patch and laughed a joy filled laugh. She looked bak at him and waited for gim to catch up "come on jakob!"
