"No, don't you dare." Sebastien opened the door and hurried Barbara in, before she could disappear again, she already disappeared three times today, leaving him to desperately search for her until he found her with some animal she wanted to keep. Before his daughter entered the parlour he saw her glancing towards the cat that slept beside flower beds.
"You aren't fun at all." She frowned at him and walked in, leaving O'Sullivan behind her. Sebastien sighed, that kid was incredibly talented in avoiding every rule he set, and followed her in.
This place hasn't changed a lot since the last time he was here, it was more than 10 years ago, few weeks before his mother was killed, she and aunt Jenna took Hayley, Christian and him here, like they did every month. Since Elizabeth O'Sullivan died, her children haven't crossed this doorway, neither did Sierras. This room kept too much happy memories, and although Sebastien really liked sweets he would rather choose not to it any of that than to visit this place, but well, Barbara liked it and he realized they work better together when they're in friendly relationship than when they're arguing, and arguing with that girl was oh, she was as stubborn as Sebastien himself. Maybe even worse.
The girl picked banana and apple ice cream, while O'Sullivan chose much safer option - vanilla. After paying, Sebastien took their glasses and led Barbara towards the only free table left, they obviously weren't the only people who wanted ice cream today, since every other table was full. He put their glasses on the table and pulled a chair for Barbara.
Sebastien waited until she started eating, it was safer that way cause she won't argue when she eats, one of useful things he found out (too bad she doesn't eat all the time) before he spoke.
"You know, we'll need to visit the bookstore real quick before we go home, and we also need to buy some of those red stuff for Christian's silly dog." That means they need to find a petshop too, where Barbara will, undoubtedly, try to persuade him to buy some animal like she did every single time they visited it. Sometimes even out of the blue. Dear Lord, help him. Sebastien could already see an aquarium with dozens of fishes invading his apartment.
