Hey, folks! Have you noticed all that snow flying around lately? It's not just on the home page anymore, but all over the site, IC. By now, I'm sure your characters are getting pretty irritated and asking you, "Why can't this darn snow go away? It takes me ten minutes to get up the stairs for Divination class!"
Well, we've got a solution, but it's going to take the efforts of everybody on the site to sort it out. See, we think there's a spell we can use to get rid of it, but we need to do some research to figure it out. That research has been divided up into what we call Points, which every member can help with. Here's how it works:
By the end of January 10th (Midnight UST), we need to earn 600 points. And that sounds like a bunch, but it actually isn't that bad! We've got a list of things you can choose from to earn points, so it's completely up to you how you want to help out. Each time you complete one of the actions, you'll earn points through the forum's point counting system. So you won't have to worry about keeping track, since the forum will do that for you. At the end of that time, we'll add up the total.
Here are the choices and how much they are worth:
- Post in the Games forum: 2 point each.
- Post in the Yule Ball forum: 5 points each.
- Post in classes: 10 points each.
- Post in the Order house: 2 points each.
- Post in the Death Eater house: 2 points each
- Post in the Ministry forums: 2 point each
- Other IC forums: 1 point each.
Rules:1. Double posts aren't cool, unless it's for classes or threads where you have more than one character that needs to be there.
2. This starts right now, so anything posted after this message goes up counts.
3. If we get more than the total we need, I'll come up with another fun event like this one :DD
4. In order to participate, you must post your current totals here before posting in the forums/areas mentioned above.
In order to participate, because the forum doesn't allow us to reset the total points, you'll need to figure the number of points your characters have, if you intend to use them. Sorry we can't make it simpler for you. But it should just take a glance at your characters' profiles to find them. Then, when January 11 comes, you'll post your new total and I'll go through and do the math so you don't have to
If you think you may use a character, go ahead and list their points (all in one post, please!), and then even if you don't find a way to use them, you'll have it all in one spot so we can go back and find them. Oh, and when you post the new totals, go ahead and do that in one post, too, so we can look back and forth, yeah?
ALSO! You should note that the Admins are going to help out on this, and we're doing the same tasks you are, so it'll be a big, fun, group endeavor to find out how the spell works. Basically, let's have at it! If you have any questions, feel free to put those up here with your starting points number, or PM one of the Admins and we'll help you get sorted!

Only took maybe a minute, so it's nice and quick for you! Then, at the end, you'll post your new totals. SO BE SURE to do this BEFORE you get to posting. Otherwise the points you earn today won't count!
