Having trouble getting involved in the class threads we have going on during the school year? Here are some things to keep in mind:
- Students shouldn’t be able to get the hang of a new spell or series of tasks within a single post. It should probably take them most of the class, if not all of it. And you’re totally allowed to have your character fail the entire time. That could be used outside of the class threads as a starting point for a one-on-one thread. Similarly, it might be more fun to have your student ask someone else for help!
- Classes last somewhere between 4 and 6 weeks, depending on how often people post. Want to get new courses going? Be active in the threads and help keep others replying be letting your characters interact with them! On that same note, though, try not to post a reply after every single person. It gets hard to follow a thread if people are posting over and over, y'know? So take turns or however you'd like to phrase it, but if there hasn't been a post in a day or two, you're more than welcome to post back. (So, preferably, it should go Your post, someone else, someone else, etc, your post. But if it's been a day or two, you can go Your Post, someone else, Your Post.)
- As Admins have come to realize over the years, it’s not always easy to keep up when people post really long replies. So we’d like to suggest that you try and keep your posts at maybe 250 words? It’s not a max word count or anything, but it might keep your replies quick, and keep the posts going.
