Time for Ice Cream

Hazel's little sister Aqua wanted to Ice Cream but they didn't had any at home. So Hazel decided to go Flourean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour and buy some ice cream from there. So she did get dressed warm and also her sister, since it was now winter time already. After that they did head to the Diagon Alley. Soon they arrived there and looked for that Ice Cream shop. When Aqua spotted it then she did run towards it. "Aqua wait for me too," Hazel said there now and did run after her sister. But awhile doing that she did run into someone who just came out of the shop there. "I'm so sorry," she said there now. She managed to keep her balance there. She heard Aqua laughing in background. She looked at her sister and just shook her head. Hazel didn't found it fun at all.

James was walking out of the shop after getting cream for one of the dragons. As soon as he was on the street a young woman bumped into him. Steadying her by her elbow so she wouldn't fall he smiled. "It's ok I'm usually the one who's bumping into people." He said letting go her elbow and looking towards the laughing child. "They always have a way of making you chase them around. My niece is the same way, by the way she was running i'm guessing she wants ice cream." He smiled as he remembered when Jasmin did the same thing to him a few times. "I'm James Faulkner," He said smiling softly hoping to ease some of his tension.

Hazel looked at the men in front of her and listened what she said. She was really glad that he also did help her keeping balance there now. "I'm alright too. Yeah I'm usually don't do it but sometimes it still happens," she said here now with a smile. "Yeah My sister wanted to have ice cream. Yeah they do laugh when they found things funny," she said and looked at her sister. She did stop anf walked over to them. "I'm Hazel Parker and she is Aqua," she said and also pointed to her sister. "Wait are you any way related to Anya Faulkner?" She asked now.

"That's good that your fine. I work too much and i tend to do it more often than not and it's not always a pleasant conversation." James said as he put his hands in the front of his jeans as he looked over at the little girl. "She's adorable, reminds me a lot of my niece Jasmin. They tend to find a lot of things funny and then they try to make it happen more so they can laugh some more." He smiled when he was introduced to them both. "It is a pleasure to meet you both," James smiled at Aqua then looking at Hazel. "Yes I'm her twin brother, the one she can stand more than the other three." He chuckled softly then squatted down to be eye to eye with Aqua. "How about I treat you and your sister to ice cream?" He smiled encouragingly wondering what the little girl would say.

Hazel just nodded her head and smiled there now. "It isn't for sure," she said there something then. "Yeah she is one adorable kid but very active one. I can't keep up with her anymore. I was same as her in her age," she said there now and looked at her sister too. So far she was the most precious thingin her life for sure. She couldn't imagine her life with out her anumore at all. "Hey, sis can he do it?" Aqua asked from Hazel now there. "You can say yes," Hazel said with a smile now there. "You can buy them to us and now let's go. I want to eat ice cream already," little girl said and walked towards ice cream shop.

James stood up from his position and smiled, "Well she definitely knows what she wants. I wish I had that much energy, I think they take it from us." He began walking towards the ice cream parlour grinning softly. He remembered the first time that he took Jasmin there and she was hyper until bed time. "I don't mean to pry but where her mother?" James said looking at Hazel wondering where the girls mother was. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to I was just curious. My niece's mother passed away when she was born but my brother Alejandro does what he can for her."

Hearing a pair of running feet, James looked in front of them to see his niece running towards him. "Uncle Jamie," Jasmin shouted as she jumped into his arms.

"Well I was just talking about you, where's your daddy honey." James asked her as he lifted her to eye level. She pointed towards the crowd in front of them as Alejandro came walking up shaking his head.

"I swear she knows every time your near, like she has a homing beacon installed in her brain." Alejandro said laughing softly. "Oh there's a family meeting tonight at seven at Anya's. Bring what you think she might need, she's not doing so good. Alright I gotta go, I have to pick up somethings immediately today or they'll be gone soon. See you later James," He said taking Jasmin and walking towards the entrance to Diagon Alley.

"Sorry maybe sometime he'll have enough time to stop and say hello. Usually he's not like that but sometimes it happens." James said smiling wryly as he began walking towards the shop again.

Hazel looked at her sister and nodded her head now there. "Yeah I wish I had that much energy too like her. That might totally true that they take it from us," she said there now with a smile. When James asked were was the mother her smile faded away. "She did pass away too after she was born. Since I was the closest family member who they know then they gave her to me. We don't know whose father, same is with me. Never been around and never looked either," she said there now. She usually doesn't really say about it people who she just met but keeping it all herself isn't good. Her sister knows that her mother isn't around and same with that but not sure if Aqua got what she meant with it.

Hazel saw the other little girl, Jasmin, James niece. She seemed like very lovely girl for sure and very hyper too.

Haz did smile when she heard what Alejandro said there now about Jasmin. She found it bit funny there and it was good idea to make her smile.

"It's totally fine. I'm not sure when that next time might be," she said there now with a weak smile and she walked towards shop now again. Aqua was already inside choosing the ice cream.

James listened softly and said, "I'm sorry about your sister. She would more than likely be proud of you for taking care of her daughter. If you ever need help just let me or Anya know and we will do what we can to help you as well as your sister. Would you want to know your father? Or hers?" He began to wonder if they had any living family members but he didn't want to bring it up. "Well let's take care of your sister's sugar inducing coma," He said laughing softly as they finished getting there.

"Well if your friends with Anya you'll see a lot of Jasmin but i'm not so sure about Alejandro. He's not been himself lately, my brother's think he's seeing someone. I think it's because he's been getting ready for Christmas for Jasmin but of course my brother's don't think that." James said smiling softly, "My brother's have a flare for the dramatic and will hound every one older than them to get information. Our father calls them the pit bulls, it's the perfect name for them honestly."

Hazel nodded. "Yeah. Being sister and same time mother isn't so easy at all. Also I need to work. I didn't have time to go college at all," she said there and sighed. "I have given up so much in my life for her but I still love her no matter what," she said there now and walked into the shop now too. She saw her sister look at ice creams menu.

"Haz, I want strawberry one," Aqua said there now. Hazel looked at her and sighed. "You know you can't eat it because you are allergic do it. You want to be itchy again?" Haz said there now and even asked question at the end. Aqua did shake her head there now. "Then I take vanille and chocolate mix ice cteam," little girl said with a smile there. "That's better idea. I'm gonna just take vanille one probably," H said thete then and wondered if there was any other taste she could eat.

"Yeah probably yeah i'll see Jasmin then around. It would be good if she coulf play with someone for awhile. I mean Aqua of course," she said there now finally something about it too. "Christmas. Not so fun time for single parent. She wants so many things for Christmas and I can't allow most of them with my payment,"she said there when Aqua did look for table where to sit already.

James smiled and said, "Yeah sometimes it's hard for my brother as well but he has our mother and Anya. If you need any help no matter what it is just ask." He looked at the ice cream menu and found one he wanted but waited for them to order first. James smiled at the interaction between Aqua and Hazel. "Strawberry allergy? Well at least it's not as bad as my niece, she can't have peanuts and well that is in almost everything. There's traces of it in some things, how bad is she allergic to it?" He asked looking at Hazel.

"Yeah same with Jasmin she doesn't have a lot of friends. She's really shy around new people but when she gets to know them she's quite a talker." James said smiling. "No it never is a fun time for a single parent. What do you two normally do on Christmas? Also what all did she ask for from Santa? I know four year old kids always have these great ideas for presents."
