Things had gotten perhaps a little too out of control in terms of her interaction with other students now. Pepper actively always avoided being among large groups of them so that she wouldn't feel swamped, but she had never needed to be away from people this much that she would actively choose to sit outside on quite a brisk day - than remain inside nice and warm. Perhaps the homesickness she was feeling, from being away from her parents, was compounding with her natural edgy nature which resulted in actions like this? She didn't know.
Sighing softly, she was just glad that today wasn't one of the days it had decided to snow. The little stone bench she was sitting upon, just outside the cloisters was cold enough as it was, it didn't need to be wet at the same time. Kicking her scuffed black school shoes against the cobblestones, Pepper cast her mind back to the lessons she had attended so far. All the professors seemed to be nice, all the students seemed okay too. She just didn't feel the need to be around any of them when lessons weren't in session.
She hoped that would change.
Gloved hands dip into her school satchel and retrieve one of the text books she needed to read for next lesson, she didn't want to be mortified in the next divination lesson yet again, so Pepper was trying to get most of her first year text book read so whatever came up she would be able to answer. Fumbling slightly with the pages, Pepper ripped off a grey mitten, throwing it on her bag in a small huff, before turning the page sharply.
Today just didn't seem to be a good day for her.
