Adrienne hadn't been involved in many parties during her time at Hogwarts, considering she had chosen to focus on her school work and not on dressing up or dancing. But that didn't mean that the current students didn't deserve a good time. So she had gotten in touch with the owners of The Library, knowing that the Halloween events for the students would be held in Hogsmeade. After stopping by Declan's booth on the way up, Adrienne had spent the afternoon helping to decorate the shop for a costume ball.
At midnight, the students would get to celebrate the fact that the term was more than halfway done, with candy and other treats to go along with the dancing. Pushing open the front door, Adrienne put the stopper down to keep it ajar. Black ribbons hung from the top of the door frame so that people had to walk through them to enter the party. Upon entering, they would come up to a table covered in masks in case they hadn't brought one with them, and from there they could choose to dance or sit at tables and eat, or just mill about with their friends and talk.
Lifting her wand, Adrienne set the music playing before walking back inside to fill the role of chaperone. She wasn't entirely sure if she would see anyone she knew, but at least the students had a fun way to finish off the month and dive into the next one. There wasn't much time left in the semester, after all - probably six weeks at the most, though she would have to check her calendar to be sure. A smile rising on her lips, Adrienne put her mask back on and made her way across the room to talk to one of the other professors who had offered to keep an eye on things.
