It's been a long week. Barbara thought Hogwarts will be just another usual boring school like schools always were. She was glad she was wrong. Hogwarts wasn't what she expected at all. She guessed it's just strict public institution more like a prison than a school. And Hogwarts was wonderful. She still couldn't get used to it that it's now part of her life, and after many days of regretting she could smile again, here.
Going to school felt unreal, she thought she'll crash into a wall instead of going through it like it wasn't there. Her grandparents went with her but they couldn't pass that barriere so after going through the wall she was all alone. Around her were happy families, children with their parents. She looked at them with regret, she will never have parents again, until some older girl approached her, she told her name is Milena and she's coming from Belarus. That cheerful girl invited Barbs to her cab, and she was grateful for her doing that. That made her feel not as much alone as she felt.
Everything sounded like it will be perfect trip. Yeah, it was, at least until they crashed into the lake. Barbara was so afraid but Milena and some man who seemed familiar to her, but she must be wrong because she has never met a wizard until then, helped her to get out. When she was on the shore she found Milena crying. Her best frend, Mriya, was dead. She was int he cab with them, but she went to find something for food just before they landed in the lake. They found her later, her neck was broken.
Dead. Dead. Dead. That one word was everything she could thought of now. Sitting in dusty and cold owlery surrounded by beautiful birds and their silent hooting. She couldn't shake the feeling that everyone that everyone around her die. First her mother, then Mriya. But it's okay, she'll bring them back, her mother, and Mriya too, for Milena, they'll be alive again. Maybe that was the main reason she has never met her dad. He knew he'll die if she met him. No, it's incorrect, he hasn't know she exists. It's not his fault, but she somehow find a way to blame him for that.
