Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

Potions Lesson 1, Pod 3 Li9olo10

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Potions Lesson 1, Pod 3 Empty Potions Lesson 1, Pod 3

ooc: Sorry that so much of this introductory post is the same as the other pods, but since you will all need the same information to set up the class, I've only made small edits. I don't expect other lessons to start this way.

Zada had thought the first two potions classes had gone at least as well as could be expected for the first day back in school. The late morning class was due to begin. The next classroom of students had a few moments to reach the dungeon from wherever their first class of the day had been. She checked the fires in the hearths, feeling the students would not be accustomed to the chilly dampness that was typical here without fires in the room's large fireplaces. She flicked her wand at both the hearths to raise the heat a couple degrees. It would draw in a moment.

She was not unaccustomed to teaching, and she certainly was not unaccustomed to potions. She was, however, unaccustomed to the disarray that the potions lab had been in. She had meticulously reorganized it, and knowing that some students didn't know a bezoar from a billywig, she had labeled the cabinets, the jars, the drawers, and pretty much everything else they could screw up.

She was also not a fan of years of filth that had built up in the darkened corners of the dungeon, nor the heavy musty smell that the lower regions of the castle were prone to. She had set a cleaning charm in place and had increased the brightness a bit on the usually dim lights in the room. New potions students needed to see what they were chopping--where the herbs stopped and the fingers began.

She had had them simply pay the fees for the mandatory potions kit and then had seen to them herself to be certain that they had all the necessary equipment and that it was not second hand or second quality. She had one large set of floor to ceiling shelves that had the standard student sized wooden chests that were the potions kits. Their texts, of course, they were to have purchased at Flourish and Blotts before they boarded the train.

The chiming of the large wall clock alerted her that it was 11 am. She erased the notes from the chalkboard from the last class, picked up a piece of chalk and wrote her name in her usual elegant script on the board.

Potions Lesson 1, Pod 3 Empty Re: Potions Lesson 1, Pod 3

It was time for go to potions lesson. It was Cecilies most favorite lesson ever. She was quitw good at making potions. She really even enjoyed to make them. She always loved to learn new potion to make.

She walked into the classroom and noticed she was first one to arrive. It didn't usually happen. She smiled and greeted the proffessor. After that she took a seat. She now needed to wait for others. Same time she wondered what kind of new potion they will learn today. She hoped it would be good one. She looked at the clock now too and counted in mind time until lesson will start.
