D'you think we could put a note somewhere on the Canon list of who has that character? Or something similar to direct new people or people looking to add a canon character to the person in question?
It happens for people who have school or whatever the case but can't get on a lot and then things change, too. Like, for my characters, I use the Polyvore sets, but not everyone on PA uses them, obviously. Maybe we can put a section in Character Extras or something where each person can do a thread with little blurbs about things they learn or decide about their headcanons? It could work like my
Thread Tracker, where I have a post for each person, and then when I trade characters out I just replace that post with the new character.
I guess the problem for a lot of us is that we don't think to write things down. We just know them. But if we don't write them down and someone new comes in, it's hard to correct them or something when we haven't taken the time to put it all down. Y'know? Like, I'm sure some of us get frustrated but it's not like the other person could have known, either. Maybe there should just be a rule that if you want to use a canon, you have to talk to the person/people holding canons related to yours. Even if they're not of the same last name. Like that person would have to approve it? It sounds kind of harsh I guess, but it might keep the confusion down if nothing else.
I mean, it worked for me and Keira, when I made a Zabini, and it's working for me and Emily with the Connolly sister. But that doesn't mean it will always be something that works out.
