Graduated.
That was a word that Kaiden Poliakoff was going to have to get used to. He was graduated now, no longer a student at the school that had been his home for seven long years. It was going to be a big change, not having to go to school everyday, but instead having to go to work. At least for now he didn't have to worry about that though, it was summer and even though he was working a few hours sometimes in the Ministry, he wasn't an actual employee yet. He would be moved up starting in September when school started for the students.
It being summer didn't change much for him though. He still didn't have much to do. Somehow Milan was keeping him busy though, giving him jobs and errands to run when he didn't feel like doing it himself. So much for freedom. Kaiden had been waiting to turn of age to be able to do whatever he wanted to do, and while he can do that now, he still didn't have much freedom because he was still living in the Poliakoff manor and he was still following his father's rules.
He needed to get out for a while, the ex-Slytherin decided when he woke up that morning, and before anyone else in the house was awake, aside from the elves, he left before anyone had the chance to give him something to do. He hadn't eaten anything, afraid that if he did it would give his father enough time to wake up and come downstairs and he would have another day or pointless errands ahead of him. He would just get something to eat later on, he said to himself, knowing that he wouldn't be hungry for a while anyways.
He spent what was left of the morning in a park, watching the little kids and animals playing while their parents talked close to them. Kaiden sighed. It wouldn't be long before he and Adrienne were the same way, with kids playing and the two of them just there talking and watching their kids. It kind of scared him, they were married and were going to have a child soon, and Kaiden was moving out of his father's house soon since he basically didn't live there anymore, he just occasionally visited.
His stomach finally growled and Kaiden decided to go to a cafe that was close by to get some lunch. He walked into the cafe and sat by the window where he usually sat, looking out while the waitress that worked there, who already knew him and what he wanted, got his order ready to bring to him.
