When a legion of supervillains rose up and attacked the city of Detroit around 50 years ago, the heroes did everything in their power to keep them at bay. But in a rare twist, the villains' powers surpassed that of the heroes, who eventually had to make a tough call: sacrifice the city itself, and let the villains "win," in order to spend their efforts getting innocent people out alive. The heroes were then able to rally, launching a counterattack that reclaimed the ruins of the city. It was on this site that Champion City was born: a true testament to the strength and perseverance of both heroes and everyday citizens.
In a world where superheroes (and villains) are a normal part of life, Champion City is a nexus of activity for Supers both good and evil. While citizens go about their daily lives and neutral Supers try to make their own way in the world, heroes and villains duke it out, and fledgling Supers hone their powers. Which side will you join?
