Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Ash could feel the itch. She hadn't been into a place to throw down and party in at least a few weeks. That itch needed to be scratched bad, because after all, drinking home alone was never fun. It wasn't that she missed drinking or doing the recreational drug or two...she could do that in the privacy of her home anytime, she just missed the scene. The thrill of people watching, paying for her to get completely and utterly wasted only to leave them wanting more at the end of the night. Occasionally she would have the one night stand but very rarely did anyone get that high honor.

But there was one thing that Ash seemed to be excited about. She was being introduced into the British party scene. Her sister thought such things were trivial but then again she wouldn’t be where she was if she hadn’t frequented enough bars in America to at least have earned a record deal. What was best was that someone she knew was introducing her to this exciting new adventure. She laughed as she hurriedly applied the last of her eyeliner, which by the end of the night would probably be smeared beyond any saving.

She threw on her black halter dress that was dangerously short and grabbed her purse, making sure her wand would fit into it and hurried out the door. I’m so excited! she thought as she made it to the club. She didn’t even pay attention to the name of it as the bouncer checked her ID and let her through the door. She moved between the barricade that blocked off the people who weren’t deemed good enough to enter. The flashing lights and music hit her and she knew that this was going to be at the very least a very interesting time. In all actuality, it really didn’t seem much different than the clubs she had been in in America. She looked around looking for Elise, knowing she should already be there by now.

Only The Good Girls Go Home Sober Empty Re: Only The Good Girls Go Home Sober

Claire had outright said no.

Elsie suspected it had something to do with the unopened package of raw cookie dough in the fridge, but her best blonde friend was determined not to leave the apartment. For a woman who was so focused and professional, junk food was such a strange undoing for the Bishop woman. Elsie had left Claire in her sweatshirt, pajama pants, and nerdy glasses. Claire had been settling down with a glass of red wine in front of the television, but Elsie knew her friend would be less classy as soon as she left. She'd eat half the food in their apartment, blog, and then cry. Like any other Friday night.

Elsie had little room to talk. Class had flown out the door as soon as she had stepped out of her closet. If looks could kill, she'd certainly be charged for murder tonight. It had been awhile since she had been able to go out, and because Claire wasn't going, she felt she could really let loose. Claire was just... so responsible. Elsie understood Claire's need - the girl was a spy for the American Ministry. Partying wasn't exactly a smart risk to take. But Elsie had an insatiable need for drinks, dancing, and dirty talking. So she would be going out.

Decked out in a revealing dress of her own, Elsie moved through the party in search for her backup blonde. Ash was a good girl - and by good, Elsie meant that she partied well. The girls had hit it off in America, meeting in a club where there had not been a good man to take home, no matter how distorted their beer goggles got. The experience had garnered a fairly reliable party partnership, and Elsie was excited to explore the British scene with Ash.

A flash of blonde. Elsie whipped around, holding tight to her martini glass sporting a strange, bright purple liquid. She hurried between the crowd, squeezing past a handsome individual who gave her a promising look. She'd have to chase that lead later. She finally reached Ash and she threw an arm up. "Hey, sexy! You came out in your big girl's clothes! Now it's a party!"

"Hey!" Ash exclaimed moving her way through the sea of bodies towards Elsie. "I've gotten more if you want to go through them sometime." Her eyes whipped around immediately towards the martini glass. She had yet to experience many various color of martinis. “Please tell me what it is you’re drinking and why in the world are you starting before I am?!”

America had done some good for Ashling that even she could say. She began to come out of her shell more. Gone was the little shy Gryffindor who would let people talk her into doing whatever it was they had wanted. She had grown not only a backbone but also a personality. America had also caused her to lose most of her accent. Something that was now starting to come back now that she was back into her home country. It was quite a sight to hear a British girl speak in American phrases. “Babydoll , I think I need to get my hands on a drink soon before I’m the only sober one left in this place.”

She grabbed Elsie’s free hand and pulled her starting to go towards the bar. She could faintly smell the scent of pot as she moved through the crowd. Didn’t these people know that sharing was caring? She thought she caught the eye of one of the various eye candies that she moved past and flashed him a pretty smile. He could possibly have some potential later on in the evening.

She reached the bar and fairly easily caught the attention of the bartender fairly quickly. “I need an Incredible Hulk split two ways, and a pink squirrel.” She said flashing yet another pretty smile. She turned and looked at Elsie, “Anything else sweetheart? Any extra shots?” She had found out after Elsie had left America and she was busy going from bar to bar persuing her singing career that she actually liked this bright pink drink. It was very smooth going down. If given the choice she would have mixed all her drinks with moonshine if she could get her hands on it, but she always paid dearly the next day with the worst hangovers anytime she had that fuel.

Only The Good Girls Go Home Sober Empty Re: Only The Good Girls Go Home Sober

Ash was immediately enthralled by Elsie's drink - who was to blame her. The electric purple drink was fizzing a little, and little veins of gold jolted through it. That was one of the main reasons Elsie so loved coming to wizarding clubs after muggle bars got monotonous. "The bartender calls it a Purple Troll," she called above the pounding music and stead beat of conversation. "I started because... well... why the hell not? Would you have done any differently?!" she laughed, noticing how her American accent cut through all of the British dialects. It only increased her chances of being noticed by the fine men in the club - and the losers too. It was the curse she bore.

Ash announced her need for a beverage of her own and Elsie grinned. "We didn't burn our bras to stay sober, did we?" Oh, Claire would have been so humiliated to hear her friend speak with so much ignorance. She would have smacked her and quickly given her a full lesson on the history of women's rights and why the bra burning riots had ever taken place. Not that anything would have taken root in her mind. She was buzzed and... Elsie. It made it impossible for lectures to stick.

Ash grabbed Elsie's hand and pulled her through the crowd. With her free hand, she downed the rest of the purple cocktail in a quick swallow. The handsome man from before noticed this and raised an eyebrow, half smiling at her. She was certain, on the next encounter, he would ask her for a dance or buy her a drink. She was eagerly looking forward to expecting the proposal. What a face. And what an ass.

Ash asked if she wanted another drink once they reached the bar. Elsie laughed. Did she want another? She delivered her empty cocktail glass and said, "Lenny, give me an Apocalypse Now?" Someone next to her glanced over at her in surprise. The drink was not for the faint of heart, but Elsie partied hard. The bartender set about mixing their drinks and Elsie settled onto a barstool, resting one leg on another. She reached up and fluffed her hair a bit, smacking her lips.

"Ash. This is the life."

“Hey for once I didn’t pregame before I rolled out of the house tonight!” she replied laughing. Ash took the stool next to Elsie. She might would have to try the drinks that Elsie was ordering. It sounded interesting. She laughed as someone looked at Elsie in surprise at the drink. Ash was probably one of the few people who could keep up with her American friend and her partying antics.

Lenny handed out the drinks and Ash thanked him, “I think I’ll have that Apocalypse Now as well.” She said causing him to look at her in an ‘Are you so sure you can handle it look.’ She passed one of the Incredible Hulk’s over to Elsie. She lifted her shot glass up towards her, “Yes, to the party life!” she said toasting before she threw the shot back. She felt the cool yet burning sensation that the neon green liquid travel down her throat. “You know it wasn’t fun, not having my party buddy.” She continued to say.

“Only good thing that was accomplished was actually getting noticed by record producers and accomplishing what I set out to do.” At that time she heard the beginning of one of her songs she had managed to record in America come on over the speakers. She squealed with excitement. She had only heard one of them on the radio during a late night ride in a cab on her way home from a club. She quickly finished her drink as her next order came up. “We have to go dance!” she exclaimed starting to sing along with the song. She had caught plenty of attention. She was acting like a child excited at seeing their first bicycle.

The feel of her heels hurting her feet were the furthest thing on her mind tonight. “I hope you plan on us getting into loads of trouble hun! Cause I’m not going home til the sun comes up!”
