Lily liked Thalia's place. The girl did not get a chance to get out much. For so long, she had been cooped up in Hogwarts. Then Salem Witches' Institute. Then her brother's house. Then Hogwart's again. And now she was beginning to get bored of hopping around Hogsmeade. She was finding that any sort of stagnation was absolutely horrid for her. She was having to get bolder and crazier each time she sought some sort of pleasure, and soon she was going to get herself in trouble. Not only that, but she was going to have to start thinking about the next full moon. She had been lucky with Thalia, but she was not so keen on having to rely on luck again.
There was now three living beings who knew what Lily was. Casey, of course, knew, for she had been there. Teddy had to know, because the two girls could not live with such a secret and keep it a secret without being discovered. And now there was Thalia. Lily supposed the wolf that had turned her also knew, but somehow, he didn't count, whoever he was. Lily had sworn Thalia to secrecy, of course, but she hung about to make sure that the woman was to be trusted. That, and something about the dark-haired woman intrigued the young Gryffindor. So she had stuck around. And now, she almost had a friend.
It had only been three weeks since the full moon, but it had been a very full three weeks. She had yet to return to Hogwarts, and she still had not given Casey the full excuse. She expected Teddy was now looking for her, and yet, she had managed to evade detection. Part of that was thanks to Thalia, who was letting her hang about as she pleased. Lily had not given Thalia her surname, nor had she told her that she was a student. There was not a lot Lily had said, because that was not the compromise the women had. It seemed they were both content to sit and drink and watch really bad telly together.
Lily was nursing a Firewhiskey as she sat on Thalia's couch, waiting for the woman to bring out the snacks she was making. She briefly wondered what her brother would think of her spending so much time with these women that Lily suspected did not have light roots. Not that Albus was a champion of the good, but she doubted he believed her capable of such a thing. It'd be an interesting plot twist for him at least.
(sorry. Weird start)
