Theodore had swept in the room with a list of demands: a villa in Holland Park, five hundred galleons per child and the Deputy Minister for Magic position when Elijah Krum was fired at the return of Robert Lupin. So really not that much. It was as though it had been yesterday. The Rookwood had been persist on everything luxurious oblivious to the fact that Hallie was sat across from him, to her she hadn't been a person just a woman he would have to bang. If Hallie remembered correctly her first reaction was to call him an arsehole before the deputy minister. Such the Gryffindor.
Their relationship had gone from strangers in an arranged marriage to a somewhat comfortable situation. Hallie had met his family, watched Raghnell torture other Rookwoods before her eyes then wish them luck in their love. His Mother had been the sweetest, she'd taken Hallie for what she was: a daughter-in-law. It had been Mrs Rookwood that had showed Hallie the baby photographs of 'Teddy' and let stories flow from her tongue as though she thought about them everyday. It had been the Mother-In-Law who had brought Hallie closer to Theodore, pulled back the mysterious curtains that closed across his heart. From that day she'd fell in love.
A love that soon hit a rock and began to sink. First he'd willingly sacrificed her leg, granted it was to save her life, but still the blonde had been well and truly píssed. Not that Theodore could understand. He'd gone off in a storm, abandoned Hallie when she had needed him the most, needed him to stay and help her through the trauma. It was a good job Hallie was strong for how else would she have gotten through the weeks of anger, bitterness, frustration and adjustment to a prosthesis.
As valentines day approached Theodore had sent a letter to meet and talk things over and talk things over they did. For a week or two they truly were 'wedding bliss'. Lost in the honeymoon stage Hallie had fell pregnant, stated she didn't want to keep it, told Theodore she couldn't be a Mother and once again her husband left.
Unlike the time before it had been Hallie who had sent a letter to talk and here the talk had led them to a second marriage proposal. A proposal that Hallie had wanted but, because she loved Theodore, fell to the floor her glassy eyes close to his and she uttered a 'yes' before their lips met.
'I'm sorry I called you an arsehole.' Hallie added before continuing to kiss the love of her life.
(ooc: sorry for god modding the kiss, I just figured it would read romantically)
