Sometimes, Caspian wondered how he was an Ivanov. He was different from his brothers, in a lot of different ways. He knew that if it wasn't for his surname, he probably wouldn't have made it very far in life most of the time which kind of annoyed him. He wanted to know he could do things himself, without the help of his family. But now even his family, he felt, was abandoning him and even though he wanted to do things on his own, he was afraid of what being alone would be like. Robin had gotten married recently and he knew he would be next, and the thought really frightened him.
How was he supposed to live up to so many standards when he'd never even had an actual girlfriend before. Well, he had but to him that didn't really count anymore. They'd always been more like friends than anything else and he was going to keep it that way, even in his thoughts. Especially since his best friend was now crushing on her. She didn't seem to think of him as anything more than a friend though and Caspian honestly felt bad for Nathan. But there was nothing that could be done. At least for now. Charlie would eventually figure out how Nate felt and maybe she would feel the same way that he did.
Caspian shook his head and sighed. He shouldn't be thinking about that. Not with Christmas so close at hand. It would be ththere sooner than he thinks and that meant the break was almost there too. For once, Cass didn't want to go home, only because he knew there would only be talk about who was next to be married and everyone would probably think it would be him. Which meant someone was going to plan a wedding for him with another pureblood so he wouldn't be married off to some halfblood or muggleborn. The Ravenclaw wasn't even sure where he was going anymore. He was sure he had a destination when he left the castle, but as he came back from his thoughts, he realized he didn't know where he was going anymore and he stopped.
He watched the students that were throwing snowballs at each other. One called out to him to join them, but Cass' attention had already been caught by something. He motioned for them to keep going without him and he walked toward the girl who was making a snowman by herself. Caspian recognized her, she was a Ravenclaw like him. Medusa, if he remembered correctly, was her name. He stopped a few steps away from her and called to her. "Medusa? What're you doing making a snowman all alone?" He asked her, after bending down to pick up some snow.
