In all honesty, Brina didn’t particularly have any desire to be surrounded by the splendor of nature or whatever some people called it. That and she was pretty sure the leaf piles probably had more slugs in it than leaves and had made a point of shoving them out of their way when she had considered a spot to sit. Wherever she had gotten the idea that their were slugs in every leaf pile no matter how small was unknown even to her, but she also didn’t happen to really care where she got the idea and just followed it’s popping into her head with simply following through with what she viewed as perfectly logical actions. But then again, she had decided that there had to be a Kraken in the lake during her 2nd year even though she had no basis to be making these claims. Really, they were all based off boredom and what-ifs. She didn’t believe there was a kraken in it anymore, but that didn’t mean she believed there wasn’t. It was more that she had no idea and she wasn’t about to jump in to have a go at finding out.
Leaves now dispersed, Brina moved to take a seat with no more thoughts about squished slug, as well as it’s guts and slime, sticking to her butt and again began to wonder why she decided to go out here in the first place, shooting a quick disinterested glance towards the lake before deciding she might as well as do something while she was out here. Granted, that something wouldn’t really be something she was supposed to be doing at that moment and instead something she usually let catch her interest when there weren’t any books within reaching distance or even a drawing. She, after shoving leafs aside out of her way to make sure the guts and slime she were sure were in the slugs that were most definitely there according to her wouldn’t touch her head, leaned back in anticipation of a nap. Because naps were nice.
Barely noticing Nathan, she puffed out her cheeks before let out a sigh and realizing not bringing anything to read with her had been a bad idea since she wasn’t particularly tired at the moment and she couldn’t fall asleep with her shoes on anyways. Well, she had before, but it didn’t happen easily and she usually woke up a lot from discomfort. So after a minute or two of being unwilling to admit that falling asleep was near impossible, she eventually pushed herself into a sitting position. Not like dirt was a good bed, anyways.
