GENERAL APPEARANCE: Joffrey stands at 5’7” with long, dark brown hair. He keeps it long because he likes to run his hands through it when he’s bored or stressed out. He’s rather pale because he doesn’t spend much time outdoors because he prefers the company of books and the library. When not in uniform – Joffrey likes to stay dressed up like a button-up shirt with a pullover.

PERSONALITY: Joffrey is an independent man who has taken a liking to books. The library is his friend because he rarely trusts people wholeheartedly. He’s seen the flaws and mistakes and people, which makes it hard for him to trust. Books are a nice escape, plus it’s amazing on the sort of things he can pick up from sitting in a corner of the library by himself. Joffrey is not a fan of muggles at all. His father was a muggle, but because his mother kept the fact she was a witch from him until Joffrey was five, his dad became so enraged that he divorced her. Growing up in that kind of environment, Joffrey learned to hate the muggle world because of the hatred and dislike toward magic it brings. He’s also grown to hate his father, wanting revenge on him in the name of his mother. Joffrey is cold and calculating, a friend to the darkness, but he is not one to anger. His temper is quick, and once he’s set off, there’s no getting him to calm down for a bit.

CHARACTER HISTORY
------------------------------------------------------------

Early Years: For the first few years of his life, Joffrey grew up like a normal muggle because his mother abandoned magic when she fell in love with Robert. She came from a long line of wizards, but decided she didn’t want to be like her family, so she never told Robert about magic, and when she got married, none of her family would attend because Robert was a muggle – even her brother Castor, who was the only person who understood her view to a certain extent.

A few years later, Robert and Lena gave birth to Joffrey. He grew up happy until one day when Joffrey was five, Castor apparated to their house looking for a place to hide from some wizards he owed money to. There was no hiding the fact he was a wizard from Robert. From the clothes, money, speech, and the obvious magical appearance of Castor, it was apparent he was a wizard.

Robert was not pleased in the least that his wife kept this from him. He had been known to have a hot temper, but this was beyond anything he could handle. After a large yelling match between him and Lena, he left. Joffrey heard the entire thing, and came downstairs to find his mother crying at the kitchen table. He decided then that his father would pay for making his mother this sad.

After Robert left, Lena embraced the wizarding world again – with the help of Castor. He felt so guilty for spilling the beans on magic to Robert that he was there in any way he could be for Lena and Joffrey. Castor became the father that Joffrey wanted because Robert now wanted nothing to do with his ex-wife or his son.

Hogwarts Years: At Hogwarts, Joffrey quickly learned that he was interested in books. He loved reading, so the library became his favorite place. He learned it was also a great place to overhear people’s private conversations – you never know when that could become useful. He always enjoyed learning people’s little secrets because he wanted to gain the advantage if it came to it. Since his father left, there was a certain wall put up between Joffrey and others, which led him to be suspicious of others’ motives. Secrets were a great tool.

Adulthood: As the great River Song would say, “Spoilers.”

Joffrey looks fine to me. He could, actually, go either way, although he is a bit more Slytherin than Ravenclaw.
