HAIR COLOUR: A light blonde color that intertwines with a very light auburn color, blending into each other

COMPARATIVE HEIGHT: Average

BODY BUILD: Gabby isn't well built at all, but actually scrawny, but not unhealthy looking

GENERAL APPEARANCE: When Gabriel looks into a mirror, something looks back at her, but it's not what other people see. She looks at a scrawny child with pimples popping out and eyes that are the color of honey. Something she detests. In reality, she has a very fair skin tone that reminds a lot of people why humans thought it was nice to have pale skin in the past instead of a dark tan. Her eyes are her the color of amber, a light compliance to the rest of her features. Her hair hangs down in waves to her shoulders where they cut off. She had done that haircut herself. She has bangs to hang off to the side, sometimes up with a clip that her mother had given her, other times down, barely covering her left eye. She has defined curves that outline the rest of her body, but she hides them well with baggy clothes and oversize sweatshirts. Overall she looks pure, but something deep set in her eyes pull it all off. Maybe it's a taste for adventure, or a hunger for pride, whatever it is, you don't look into them too long, she tends to unnerve people with her steel cold stare.

[S] Gabby is very much a listener and will take everything someone says to her in consideration for her actions and/or thoughts
[S] Gabby doesn't show much of her emotions on the outside, keeps herself well hidden underneath layers
[S] Gabby studies very hard at the things she loves, even though she knows very little about the wizardry world she is determined to work at it until her knuckles crack and her head splits open
[W] Gabby is a selfish creature, wanting to excel herself up to the highest point it can go before snapping, which can cause herself damage and damage to others whether it is emotionally or physically
[W] Gabby is very competitive and won't stop until she gets her way
[W] Gabby is gullible and naive when it comes to most things, willing to believe what someone tells her

LIKES & DISLIKES:
[L] Gabby really loves comics and marvel characters making her what a muggle would call, 'a geek'

[D] Love and hate. It's the two most powerful emotions and she prefers not to handle either of them, afraid to let go into the unknown, preferring what she can touch and feel within limits.

GOALS: Gabby's main goal is to gain enough skill level in wand casting and in just knowledge of the new world she inhabits to become of some use to the people around her, whether for herself or for a higher power. A more emotional goal would be over coming her anger for the muggle race. On the outside is cold to them, almost heartless, but being born to two muggle parents, she would like to come to appreciate them more, not view them as insignificant, helpless people.

HABITS & QUIRKS: Gabby tried not to show most of herself on the outside, but that clearly is impossible, isn't it? A habit that she had since she was a little girl is to play with the blue striped clip that holds her bangs out of her face. Constantly, she is tugging at it, readjusting, pulling her hair behind her ear with it, even putting it in her mouth and chewing it at times. Another quirk is the way when she gets nervous, she starts to stutter, but with a straight face. It is quite a sight to see, a mouth twitching, but unmoving eyes at the same time. The last obvious habit is the way when she tries to be sarcastic, she curls her right side of the mouth into a smirk. It's the closest she would get to a smile, but maybe things change.

BOGGART: Gabby's greatest fear is to die without making a difference. To die in vain. Without a cause, without someone there, to be alone. To do something meaningful with the life she was given is the thing she wants most, but to die without ever causing that change is the greatest sin she can imagine.

PATRONUS: The fondest memory that Gabby had conjure up is one where she was nine years of age. She hadn't many friends growing up, but the one she did have was a boy named Thomas. Thomas was very much like her, in a remarkable aspect. They got along great, but things changed. Thomas' house had burned down a little while ago, taking his cat with him. Being only children it was a great upset to both of them. Gabby didn't know how to comfort her friend, but did so in the only way she knew how. She focused her sadness and console on the small leaves on the fall ground. She closed her eyes, wishing that this would work. When she opened her eyes she saw those leaves dancing in the air in the shape of dragonflies. It was the happiest she had ever been. Seeing Thomas smile like that. Bringing joy to one of the people she cares about most.

DEMENTOR: When Gabby had discovered that she wasn't normal, she was around five years of age. Being the only child of the family, she was held in prestigious condition. Her mother was a wealthy journalist and her father, the owner of a car company. Her family had been on a picnic, grazing in the small London square, chowing down on ham sandwiches and bowls of strawberry ice cream. Gabby hadn't meant to do what she had done. With a foul swoop and another blink into the sky, her father grabbed her hand and ran. And ran. She didn't know what was happening and didn't really want to know, but just kept up in her father's large hand. Running. Where was her mother? She had no clue, not until a year later did she learn from her mother what had happened. A group of teenagers had thought it funny to grab her mother. Take her somewhere. Gabby didn't understand. She hadn't understood for a while, it was only until when she was seven that she had fully grasped the situation. Her mother had almost been kidnapped. It had almost been her fault. If Gabby hadn't begged to go on the picnic, then he mother wouldn't have suffered the trauma she had endured. Her mother hadn't told her the special thing that was key about this event. Those teenagers weren't human. Weren't normal. A pack. A pack of what? Werewolves. The picnic had begun at sunset and had lasted into the evening, giving time for them to change. Her mother had believed in such things, but though them revolting. Gabby knew that if her parents could learn what she could do, they would revolt her as well. And they did.

PERSONALITY: Gabby is a quiet character, but not necessarily mute or mean about it. She intends to be nice to every one she meets, but sometimes it doesn't come of that way. She tends to judge too quickly or make a statement that wasn't wanted on accident. She is full of those. She tends to be sarcastic to the say the least and looks out for her interests before anyone else's. She wishes that she were more of a heartless snob, but she isn't. She has a soft spot of younger children and animals. She is really a sweet person, just tries not to believe it most of the time. Gabby is very loyal to the ones she loves, without a second thought for her friends (though she has few at the moment) she would dive in front of a speeding train for them. She is also very careful to show what she is feeling and to put too much of herself into things. Ultimately, she wants to protect herself.

CHARACTER HISTORY

Early Years: Gabriel was born on a cold day in December. Her mother and father were very proud of having a daughter, someone they could raise to be their little princess. Money wasn't an issue growing up, nor did it become on in the future. They always lived comfortably, in a medium sized home in London. Gabby grew up living with her grandmother while her mother and father traveled Europe on an extended vacation (around 2 years). Gabby doesn't remember this time nor does it matter that she does. Her grandmother never expected what Gabby would turn into. Slowly around the age of four, Gabby began to retain memories. First years of looking into Mother's face and smiling, seeing those dimples light up. She loved her parents. Both of them. They were always very loving and caring towards her. Now around the age of five she had just started primary school. She enjoyed school very much, always at the top of her class for now and in the future. Her parents strived for her to do her best and she strived to please them so. A certain traumatic event changed her future forever. Nothing could ever go back to the way it was. Her parents suddenly grew darker, a little colder towards her. She didn't understand why at all. At school she didn't have many friends as she grew older, even less. Rumors had started spreading things about her. Things she thought they had never found out. She had been seen floating one evening in the courtyard. That spread quickly and so did more outrageous thoughts that popped into people's heads. Quickly, whenever something interesting or strange happened, it would always be, “Oh, there goes Gabby and her cursed family,” Her family wasn't cursed though. They never were. Gabriel Silverwood was just different. She had met someone when she was a little older. A young boy that moved across the street from her. Clad in a summer dress, Gabriel went to meet him. Instantly his family took a dislike to her like so many other people did. She grew sad, but that boy, Thomas, never gave up. They snuck out to see each other constantly, never missing an opportunity. Finally, when Gabriel's parents decided they had had enough of her and the strangest things that were happening to their family, they sent her away the first chance they could. When they got the letter, they pretended to be thrilled for her. But she could see it right in their faces. They didn't want her. They just wanted her out. So the rumors would stop. So their family would once again be on top. She grabbed the invitation to leave, knowing her family was better off without her.

RP EXPERIENCE: I have been role playing for around a year now, on and off, but now I just want to settle into a nice role play that allows me to write at least a paragraph or more to really claim a place in the Potter world (:

PURPOSE OF CHARACTER: Not sure at the moment. I really think I was just looking for a role play where I could adventure into the Harry Potter world, but now as I look at how in depth this role play goes, I would like to think that Gabriel would have a higher role in the play of things, growing up to be an Auror or even if she decides to go the other path, a Death Eater!

I see, though, that your first choice of house is Hufflepuff. How firm is that in your mind? The reason I ask is that I think that Gabby is a wonderful Ravenclaw. At least by the things I look for in a Ravenclaw, that is.

I never know how mods will react to my characters, since it takes a couple hours to complete and sometimes the content can be confusing.
But! honestly, if you think Gabby would more likely fit the Ravenclaw house then by all means that would be wonderful! (I can completely see it!) I had just put Hufflepuff first because, I didn't know how picky you were going to be while reading it!

Well, Eli and I are the two primary admins who sort the apps out, and we are almost always on the same page with what we look for in an app. That makes it definitely easier. LOL.

We try to look for what we believe Rowlings intended the houses to represent, and we also take into consideration what the player intended for the character and what they want.

Give me a minute and I'll sort her into Ravenclaw!
