He is always clean shaven and has a attractive but plain face. People usually find after 20 years or so they have forgotten what he looks like. (More powerful wizards would obviously not have issue remembering him.)

CHARACTER HISTORY

Early Years: Nathan was born in February 27th 1776 in Wilmington North Carolina. His father was a private in the Continental Army who was killed in the Siege of Yorktown when Nathan was 5. His mother was from a wealthy family so her children were cared for. He had two brothers and a sister. His sister died from Yellow Fever in 1783.
school Years: Nathan never received a letter from Hogwarts. Instead he was taught by many diffrent wizards. One of which crafted his wand. Because of him bieng muggle born he struggled heavily with magic. By the age of 17 (1793) he met a vampire (Mark Aarla) who became his closest friend for the next 78 years before he was killed by muggle vampire hunter. This friend was also the one who turned him.
Adulthood: Nathan has had a long and full life. He officially considered himself an adult when he was turned into a vampire at the age of 17. He was in Philadelphia assisting wizards and witches who were afflicted with Yellow Fever. He and Mark visit Cairo on June 27th 1801 witnessing British troops taking Cairo from the French. On June 11th 1805 He and Mark witness Detroit burning to the ground. April 12th 1861-May 9th 1865 Nathan and Mark fight in the American Civil War for the United States. In 1871 Mark was killed in a ambush by a group of Vampire Hunters. Nathan then moves to London no longer wanting to be in the same country where Mark was killed.
Nathan meets Albus Dumbledore in 1912. Nathan then moves to a small village in England where he lives for 30 years. He then moves about the world not really settling down until the beginning of the first wizarding war where he participates and assists the Order of the Phoenix indirectly.
At the end of the war he spends another 11 years traveling the world. He returns to London when he hears rumors about the boy who lived attending Hogwarts. In 1995 he is approached by Albus Dumbledore and asked to join the Order of the Phoenix. Nathan accepts but only in a indirect capacity. He assists the Order in the battle of Hogwarts in 1998. He remains in London until current day events living as normal of a life as possible.
