Kate blew the hair off her face and groaned, resting her head on her arms in defeat. She hated Potions: Potions was her enemy. And studying for it was the dullest thing in Kate's world. She'd finished all her other homework, and this was all she had left, and since it was due tomorrow, she'd just have to suck it up, and finish it.
The words in the book all muddled together as Kate tried to focus again. I just need a break, she reasoned, and then I can come back with fresh eyes,. She left her belongings on the table, (as all she had brought was her copy of One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi, some paper, and her quill), as she doubted anyone would take anything. And if they did, maybe that would be a great excuse to not do her homework.
Kate glided up and down the Library aisles, skimming the tip of her finger over the spines of the books. Dreadful Denizens of the Deep, Marauding with Monsters, Gadding with Ghouls, Hairy Snout, Human Heart, Newts of Bognor. Kate grabbed Newts of Bognor out of its place, ready to read something other then Potion ingredients, and turned to go back to her table.
