The Best Friends Are Your Siblings

Amelia dipped her feet into the cool water of the Great Lake. She would go swimming if it was any warmer. She kicked small waves in the water while studying for her OWLs. She needed fresh air while she studied. She couldn’t take the library anymore. At least not when it was sunny, warm and no snow. She couldn’t wait for summer break when she could go visit Uncle Neville’s greenhouses. She loved to see what new plants her godfather had discovered. She wasn’t very fond of the idea of moving to Germany but she didn’t have a choice. If her parents thought it safer than it had to be. She just had to trust them.

Drew let out a small yawn as he stretched his arms out over his head and then placed them on top of his head and walked down the path from the entrance of the castle to the grounds. He didn't know where he wanted to go out there, he just wasn't in the mood to be inside the castle any longer. Not with the days getting warmer and with how he was that he couldn't sit still for very long when he was bored.

He glanced at the Forbidden Forest and sighed. No, not there today. He was still a little too scared to go in and he turned his back to the forest. He looked out toward the lake and smiled. That was a better choice for him, he loved being near the water. As he walked toward it, he noticed a familiar figure and grinned widely. He slowed his walking and stopped for a second before walking up behind his sister and saying, "Amelia!" a little bit too loud in her ear.

Amelia screamed and jumped falling into the lake. She stood up out of the water and wiped her now soaked hair from her face. “Thank you very much,” said Amelia sarcastically. She got out of the water and used a new spell she had learned to take the water out of her clothes though it didn’t work that well since she was doing it with her own water.
“So how has my little brother been? I know I haven’t had much time to really hang out with you. OWLs are evil suckers,” said Amelia glad to see her books hadn’t fallen in with her. She moved them away from the lake so they didn’t have a risk of them falling into the lake.
