One of his favorite places was the lake. Though, when the weather began to get better, everyone was always there. It was the only problem Dylan Davies had with the place. But it was his favorite place - aside from the Music Classroom - because he got to enjoy the fresh air and the warmth that Spring was starting to bring. He couldn't wait until summer, just because of the warm weather and being able to go to the beach and other places with his family. He really wouldn't want to leave Hogwarts though, he wouldn't be able to see his friends most of the time and it meant no magic for the entire summer. He wasn't old enough to use it outside the school yet.
It annoyed him, but there was nothing he could do about it. The chilly breeze of winter was still around and it made him shiver, and shrink into his jacket where in the right pocket his toad was being carried around. The creature was barely noticeable as the pattern on his skin was almost the same as the strange markings on his jacket. Dylan looked down at the creature to make sure it was okay, and with a seemingly blank glance back up at him, Javy - that's the name of the toad - jumped out of his pocket and hopped away towards a boy whom Dylan believed he knew, vaguely.
"Hey!"
He called to the boy, trying to get his attention somehow, since he couldn't figure out who the boy was. He glanced down at the hopping figure of his toad and called out again.
"Be careful! There's a toad headed your way, don't step on it or anything!"
He really hoped that the boy wouldn't mistakenly step on his pet. That was the last thing he needed right now.
