Tulip stepped off the carriage that had given her the ride to the huge castle. She was awestruck, and unbelievably excited. As the daughter of a Veela, she was always admired. But the attention really got on her nerves. Maybe staying at this school, and being just another student, would allow her to blend in...

When she heard whispers and saw people pointing at her, she decided, maybe not. She was always more shy than other Veela, since her father was also pretty shy. Would her looks get her friends? She definitely hoped so, even though her dad always told her over and over that it would not. Supposedly personality was more important. But how could personality shine through if you barely had the courage to ask for extra Floo powder? Who knew.

She followed the stream of other first years, as she headed towards the biggest adventure of her life.
