Pureblood Social Season
In the Wizarding World, Purebloods are the aristocracy of our Muggle world. The social season is an annual period when members of the social elite hold balls, dinner parties, charity galas and the like.
This is something I would like to trial run on PA, based around the idea of a débutante ball which would parade eligible Pureblood girls so as to attract potential husbands. This would then follow with a series of events succeeding that initial ball which mix people together, create friendships, love affairs etc.
It would mainly consist of Purebloods. However, for the sake of being politically correct and non-provocative, I do believe that they would allow a small number of Half-Bloods from well-to-do houses or on a strictly invitation-application-acceptance basis.
The aim, really, is to mix characters and have players interacting outside their rp circles. Therefore, all of these threads in a specially made board for each event, would be open and characters are encouraged to mingle between threads + interact with all.
What I would like a hand with is deciding on some of the events and also any ideas that can be put forward to help make it as successful as possible.
So far, there are three events:
1. Débutante Ball -- initial, opening of the social calendar.
2. Sporting Picnic -- Quidditch on the lawn of a country house, a buffet tent, tea on the lawn in pretty deck chairs, walks and riding.
3. A Day at the Beach - Due to take place later on in the year.
4. Tea Parties by the dozen.
5. Luxury liner event w/ tea parties. :3]
6. Picnics!
7. Games evenings - cards, charades, etc.
8. Plays!
9. Etiquette Training.
10. Spell Exhibitions.
11. Opera!
12. Fancy Dress!
