Alice sat nervously in her seat and jumped up and down. The moment she entered the Three Broomsticks she regretted ever agreeing to this. It was plainly crazy and she blamed all of this on her friends. The only reason she agreed to their meddling into her love life was so they could stop nagging her with questions all the time. And honestly she never thought anything would come of it. The plan was just to nod at a few boys and giggle at their choices. Never an actual date, God forbid a blind date! Which was exactly what this was. She was supposed to meet a guy at the Three Broomsticks and they are supposed to go on a 'date' together as he friends explained to her. She didn't even know who they were setting her up with in the first place. It was supposed to be a secret or something. Crazy, just plain crazy.
She hoped it wasn't someone she knew well, because then it would just be awkward. Or a stranger either, because that would feel strange as well. But everything would feel strange to her. Because, not that she would ever admit this, but she had never actually been on a real date before. The whole dating etiquette was complete foreign to her as well. She didn't know how to act or what to say, how could she? Her experience with the male side was never this official before, and out in the public as well. She bit her lip as she waited for her mysterious date. Her stomach rumbled up and down as some sort of a punishment for even going.
Perhaps there is still time to leave, make an excuse of being sick or something. Anything really, just to get herself out of this situation. But she soon decided not to, that would make things even worse. Since she said yes to this in the first place, she will have to endure it. How bad can a date really be anyways?
