"As the world falls apart around us, all we can do is hold on ..."
The chords of the guitar in her hands strummed somewhat quietly as she sang the lyrics to her new favorite song, The Beginning by One Ok Rock. Most people thought she was weird for liking that type of music, Japanese rock, but it just gave her a new challenge that English music couldn't. They also thought it was weird that she liked watching TV shows like anime such as Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, or even Vampire Knight. But tat was just who she was. Those were the only things that had ever kept her sane whenever she thought she was finally going to lose it.
They thought it even more strange that she tried to turn rock songs into acoustic versions of them. Honestly, that was weird, even to her. She thought this song didn't even need and acoustic version, it was fine the way it was, but she tried it anyways. "Hold on ... " she continued to sing as she strummed simple chords that she wrote down on music sheets that she would later turn into something more complex that compared with the original song.
"Take my hand ... And bring me back ... yeah ..."
This song almost spoke to Hitame. The message was so clear to her, yet no one else seemed to get it. It had always been like that with her though. She always understood the meaning of songs, yet no one else got it. Sometimes it took them a while to get it, and other times they just never got it. It saddened her most of the time, but then she learned that if they didn't get it, it shouldn't matter to her. What mattered was that she got the meaning and she was able to understand how to turn the song into something different. She strummed the guitar strings once more, before she turned to the music sheets and began to scribble down some more notes.
