Going for a run

Damon walked out of his home dressed in some basketball shorts and a white t-shirt. He was wearing his new running shoes and he stretched his limbs before walking out into the foggy morning air. Damon started running towards the nearby park so he could do laps in there so he wouldn't have to dodge around people as much. Upon entering the park he saw a puppy laying under a bench shaking with the cold of the morning, he reached under the bench to get him. The puppy ran out from under the bench and straight into Damon's arms. "Well hello there little one." He said smiling softly at the puppy.

Cat had recrntly gotten into a dog sitting job, as her neighbor had left.for the summer, leaving the puppy in her care. Still being so small, it had tendancies to disapear for long periods of time. When Cat had taken him to the park to let it blow off some energy, this was one of the times. It had tripped her, covering Cat in mud, and ran off. The fog wasnt help ling, amd Cat had worried that she really did lpse him.

Wandering around aimlessly, Cat had started giving up her search. Seeing somebody holding spmething, Cat, covered from her head to her foot in what she hoped was mud, ran to him. It was that damn dog. "Sorry! Thats my dog." Cat, getting embarassed, admitted, holding the leash.

Damon looked over and smiled, "Here you go. Be careful not to let him off the leash cause a puppy this small can be very curious. Oh and you might want to get him somewhere warm, he's shivering badly." He held the puppy out to her so she could take him back and put him on his leash. "He's a friendly dog just watch out he doesn't get out of your reach."

"Oh, I know." Cat sighed, putting a hand on her face, which only smeared more mud. Taking the demon dog back, it licked her face, in what Cat thought was an apology. She put the least back on, and set it down. "Something warm..." Cat remembered she had brought the ugly sweater for the dog, on her mothers request. She kneeled down to put on on, and the dog, of course, bit it. Getting it on was easier than she thought it would be, and it seemed miserable, which she enjoyed.

"Well, thanks. I'll be off." Cat knew she had caused more trouble than she would like to admit.

Damon handed her a handkerchief from his pocket and holding it out to her. "Here so you can wipe your face free of mud miss." He could see she was having a horrible time with the dog and he also noticed she was covered in mud. "Do you need any help? I couldn't help but notice that you seem to be having a bad morning." Damon asked looking at her.

"Oh, thank you!" Cat exclaimed, wiping her face the best that she could. Her clothes.... Were something different. Those she could wash, but only when she gets home. She still planned to walk the dog more, so he sleeps for the rest of the day.

"A bad morning?" Cat echoed. She didn't know what he meant by that.

"Yeah a bad morning because your dog ran off and your covered in mud. I mean it would be a horrible morning for me if i had to deal with all of that. I wouldn't want to run after my dog who is bigger than yours and deal with being completely covered in mud." Damon said softly trying to understand how she actually fell in the mud but not saying anything. He knew that such a small dog could do some damage but not a lot seeing as he could only pull so hard. Damon looked at her waiting for her response but at the same time wondering how such a little dog could do so much damage.
