HAWIIAN BEACH PARTY

Cecilia had just gotten out of St. Mungos Hospital, and most of her summer was over already. So with it already being August what would be better than an end of summer beach party in Hawaii? Maybe this wasn’t the best idea with her arm and leg still in the late healing stages, but after the summer she had had she needed some fun, some carelessness, to be a teen ager, not the teen mother she was going to become, but had not told anyone about. After some help Cecilia had Managed to decorate the beach with Tiki torches, flip flops and other beachy things, with a large fire pit in the middle of it all. There was going to be a DJ and everything. The only thing she had left to do was send off the invitations. No one would be allowed onto the beach without one of the cute little cat party invitations she had picked out.

Once everything was set and the invitations were sent out by owl all there was left to do was wait.

When getting dressed for the party Cecilia had chosen clothing that would hide her stomach. She knew most people would be wearing bathing suits choosing the perfect one for the evening as soon as they read it was a beach party. She would stand out in a nice simple dress even though she would already be standing out because of the scars Barker had left on her. So she decided to wear something bright and colorful that would make her stand out even more. The dress was meant to look like the universe in outer space with pinks and blues, and on her feet were simple sandals that she couldn’t trip in.

Cliff had gotten the invitations and immediately begged his father to go. Lee was quick to approve- Cliff had been diligent in paying attention to his little sister, and the boy didn't really have friends in his brothers anymore. Lee remembered how popular he had been in Hogwarts, and he wanted his own son to have the safety and security of a group of friends. The boy couldn't spend his summer beside his sister's sick bed.

Lee apparated his son to Hawaii and glanced around. He was almost certain he had spotted George Weasley, so with an encouraging word to his son, he bounded off to secure a ride for his son back home. Cliff glanced around and swaggered towards Cecilia Krum, the party girl.

Cliff felt confident as usual, but even more so with his super-mega-cool Spidey-shorts. He had a white shirt pulled on and some sandals and he thought he looked pretty good. He approached Cecilia when a group of girls beat him there. He awkwardly pivoted on one foot, and then headed confidently in the other direction, as though nothing had happened.

When the cute little cat invitation arrived Naomi was bound and determined to go even if her sister wouldn’t leave the house. “COME ON HITAME!” She called once more after she had gotten dressed in a purple and white polka-a-dotted bikini with short shorts to cover them up. “FINE I’m GOING WITH OUT YOU.” And she left.
When she got to the beach in Hawaii Naomi skipped off toward the party only to trip over the sand and tumble head over heel toward the beach. Giggling as she slowly rolled to a stop just before reaching the water. “Oh That was so fun,” she giggled.

A party wasn’t something that Melissa Finnigan was going to miss out on attending. Both she and her brother had received the invitation in the post and there had been a conflict of interests almost as soon as the invitations had been opened. Elliot Finnigan resolutely refused to attend the event; Millie on the other hand was brimming with excitement. In the end, the youngest of the two won and the pair were hurried out of the house by their father who was no doubt going to spend the evening with his date: the bottle of Firewhisky he’d smuggled home in the pocket of his coat. He and Millie had cleaned the house out a week before, the only remnants of there ever being alcohol laying the bottle box waiting for collection. He’d sworn off it, declaring that once it was all gone he would drink no more. Millie didn’t hold him to that, though, and half expected him to go back onto it but she could help but feel slightly disappointed. Still, it wasn’t going to be about her family tonight and she hoped Elliot would put their troubles out of his mind too and just enjoy the evening.

When the pair arrived, Elliot shed himself from Millie’s side. She rolled her eyes at him and found that a few people were already present and that music was playing. Elliot, it seemed, had already gone to the make-shift bar that had been set up to get himself some of his own liquor. Millie made a mental note to go over there in a moment or two but first she decided it was probably a good idea to go and thank the girl behind the party: Cecilia Krum. Millie bounced over to the girl, smiling breathlessly before embracing her in a tight hug. Millie pulled away after a moment and continued to smile widely at the girl.

“Thanks for the invite!” She exclaimed happily before glancing over to the boy who was also stood there. Millie squinted at him for a moment before it became obvious who it was. “You’re Cliff Jordan aren’t you?” she guessed before shooting her hand out between them. “Millie Finnigan.”

Cecilia was completely and utterly surprised when she was hugged by a bouncing girl. Gryffindor or Hufflepuff, she wasn’t sure, but Cecilia knew her from school. “You’re welcome,” Cecilia said in a questioning tone, not exactly sure what to say. The girl who had hugged her immediately turned to a guy she hadn’t even noticed standing there. “Hello,” She murmured nodding at him and watching as a girl tumbled down the beach. Some people really didn’t know how to make an entrance, and the one sitting by the water giggling was one of those people. She rolled her eyes and shook her head not even trying to hide her act of rudeness.

The moment Cliff had realized he would not reach Cecilia had been a quick moment of panic for him. He looked like a fool! But the quick turn around was so smooth and badass, his confidence returned full-fledged and he could not resist feeling as cool as any one of his favorite comic book heroes. His hands alighted on his sides as his stance widened and he said, "Social justice for all!"

He still felt cool, until someone said his name and he realized he had been observed. He spun around, still frozen in his superhero pose, but a look of terror on his face. A pretty girl, one of the ones that had surrounded Cecilia and initially vanquished his coolness, had addressed him. The self-proclaimed stud muffin struggled madly as he tried to decide what to do next.

"Uh, um..." He glanced down at his shorts. What would Spidey do? He looked up at the girl and gave her a winning smile. "Good evening, citizen!"

Funny... That didn't sound as cool as it would coming from Spiderman.

She really hadn't wanted to come. Parties weren't something Hitame Higurashi enjoyed. Don't ask her why because even she didn't know. She just didn't like being there, probably because of all the people that were always around, drinking, smoking, snogging ... and anything else she could think of. Maybe she just didn't like people all together, even though she was constantly surrounded by them, even when she didn't want them to be around her.

So when the invitation came, she really didn't want to go. Naomi, of course, did and she'd begun to say that if she decided not to go, she'd just leave without her. Naturally, she hadn't wanted to sister to be there alone just like that, so she'd followed her to the party. When they arrived, though, she got separated from Naomi and she just looked at the other people who were there from a distance.

There was no way she was going to go over to them. She just really hoped no one would come over to her now.

Ellie strolled into the party and checked her watch. She had sent Judd and Foster owls telling them to come around once they got off work. She scanned the crowd but, seeing neither, figured that she was on her own for now. She adjusted the dress that hid her bathing suit and searched for Cecilia. Cec was a year younger than Ellie but they would be in the same year this year. Ellie thought she'd best start there.

Ellie spotted the Krum girl and hurried over to her. "Hey, Cec," she said, approaching the younger girl. "I'm glad you invited me! You know, Amelia Bones and I are trying to plan a party of our own! We'll be sure to send you the first invitation." She smiled kindly at the girl and remained there, not yet ready to mingle further than the host.

"why would you invite me?" Cecilia asked the second person who confronted her. Elliot, that was here name right? "Why are any of you even talking to me? I've been nothing but rude to you and it's not like i'm all that pretty anymore." instinctively she placed her arms over her stomach trying to hide any signs that there was even the slightest possibility that there could ever be a child in there, but it just made her look as insecure as her words made her sound.

Cecilia responded brashly and Ellie raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Sorry? Why?" She repeated, unsure how Cecilia had missed her obvious intention. "Well, because you threw this excellent party for everyone and invited us all." Suddenly, Cecilia demanded answers out of Ellie and the redhead stumbled back a few feet, a little surprised at the host's strange reaction.

"I'm sorry? Rude? When have you ever been rude to me?" she asked. Ellie and Cecilia were only briefly acquainted, and only then through class and school. Ellie doubted the girl had ever had time time to be rude to her. "I'm sorry, have I done something wrong to you or something?"
