Just between girls

Now that summer is in, it's time to have fun. The only problem is ... the family doesn't want to go to the same places. What a mess ... Dani shook her head as she watched her parents complain and fight about where they should go for their vacation. Wouldn't they ever learn? It was like she was the parent and they were the children. As for Nathaniel ... who knew whet that idiot was. "Enough!" Dani called over her parent's argument. "I swear you're like children." she huffed.

Her parents blinked and looked at each other with confused gazes. That was their daughter for ya. Never afraid to speak her mind and the truth. Although sometimes, the truth hurt. Sighing again, Dani crossed her arms and stared intently at them. "Juliet will be here any minute and you two still can't decide where we should go!" she raised her voice to them. "I don't want my best friend to walk in on your arguments on petty things." she sighed heavily.

"Danielle." Her father said. "That is no way to speak to your parents." his voice dropped to a menacing tone. A tone that Dani returned. "Then stop acting like children and make up your minds." Dani was always the rebellious one, and she always got on her parent's nerves as they did on hers. Their eyes locked but the icy glare that Dani gave her father was too much for him and he looked back at his wife.

Smiling triumphantly, Dani put her hands on her hips and leaned in to her parents a bit. "Now ... if you'd let me intervene." she began. "How about we take two separate vacations?" she asked. "We have the money. And it's clear you two will ruin the vacation for everyone if you are near each other too long." she rolled her eyes. "So mum, you want to go to Ireland. And dad you want to go to Africa." she said. "Mum, Juliet and I will go to Ireland. And you and Nathaniel can go to Africa. There done, problem solved." she ran a hand through her hair.

They seemed to like the idea, even though it would mean spending more money. Once they both agreed to it, and they made sure everything was packed, they were basically all ready to go and all they needed to do was wait for Juliet to arrive so that they could leave.

Juliet was in a hurry as she packedher suitcases with the few clothing items she thought she would actually need to visit her best friend during the summer holidays. Sighing she reached up and wiped her sweaty forehead on the sleeve of her purple and black goodie, not too hot out for her, it was just the work that made her sweat. She looked around her small room and tried to remember if she was missing anything. She decided she wasn't and started to lug out two heavy suitcases to the car that seemed to be waiting for only her.

She put her things in the trunk and the car took off. She wasn't really sure exactly where dani lived, but she knew it would be fancy since her parents were purebloods. Her eyes scanned outside the window, trying to memorize the scenes before them in case she needed to visit her best friend again. Juliet yawned sleepily as she payed back in her seat, deciding she could no longer fight her exhastion and fell asleep.

Juliet was soon awoken by the driver as they arrived, Juliet grabbed her things from the trunk and dragged them up the stairs to dani's door, ringing the doorbell, she stood waiting for someone to answer, tapping her foot impaciently as she looked at the house that stood towering over her. She heard slight yelling in the background, knowing dani's voice all to well.

When the doorbell rang, Liberty sent a house elf to open the door for whoever it was that was at the door. Dani, of course, knew that it was Juliet, after all she was the only one they were expecting and unless Nathaniel was stupid enough to invite his friends over when they were about to leave, they weren't expecting anyone else. Dani poked her head out of the room and she stared down the hall as the house elf appeared at the door.

The girl looked at her parents, giving them a warning glare, saying that they better not start an argument when Juliet was allowed to enter the house. She looked back out of the room and watched the house elf open the door. "Good afternoon Ms. Valentine." the house elf said. "The young mistress Dani is waiting for you in the living room." she said, gesturing to the room that Dani was now standing outside of a bit.

She walked halfway down the hall and said, "Thank you Mana. You can go now." to the house elf. "My pleasure young mistress." the house elf said, and bowed. With a snap of her fingers, she disappeared to another part of the house to return to her daily duties. "Hey Jules." Dani said, smiling at her friend after Mana left. "Ready to go to Ireland?" she asked.
