GENERAL APPEARANCE: Foster sometimes wears glasses, but only when he actually wants too since he doesn’t really need them. He is six feet five inches, which is pretty much the normal height for someone his age. His hair is a dirty blond color that looks brown depending on what light he is in. He is rather skinny but not that skinny like an anorexic. He has pale healthy skin and bright green eyes that look like they are full of life. Overall he looks like a happy yet quiet kid. He also basically only wears pants and long sleeved shirts even in the summer time, though sometimes he is forced to wear summer time clothing by his mum.

PERSONALITY: Foster is what some people would consider antisocial, on MANY levels. Yet he is also considered a really big goof. Having an imaginary friend who quickly became obsessed with him kind of brought that antisocialness on more than what it already was because of his parents not paying much attention to him. But throwing himself into his writing, music and comedy was what really caused everything to happen. If he hadn’t done that, he wouldn’t have become antisocial, and there wouldn’t have been an obsessed invisible person following him around when he was five years old.
Foster depends a lot on Judd and Ellie, and it shows too. Only with the two of them does he actually act human, laughing and interacting with them and others who are near them. On his own he wouldn’t do that, he would probably keep his distance from others and wait until either of his friends came to even try to do anything. Especially when it comes to girls, he is not very smooth with them. Basically without Judd and Ellie, he would just be the antisocial weirdo of Hogwarts … Boy is it good to have friends.

CHARACTER HISTORY

Early Years: Foster is the middle child of three children. Being the middle child is hard, what with having an older sister who teased you and picked on you because she could, and having a younger brother who was just plain annoying since all he did was whine and cry whenever something didn’t go the way he wanted it. Being the middle child also meant that almost no attention went to you, which was exactly what happened to Foster. His sister was always getting the most attention and that was because she was the only girl, and she was one of the smartest girls in the neighborhood, as his parents called her. His brother got the attention because he was the youngest and therefore the one that needed the most care. That left foster feeling alone and left out.
He threw himself into the music and comedy he loved so much and became what some people considered to be antisocial. He only went out when it was absolutely necessary and even then it was a struggle to get him out of his room and outside. Because he spent most of his time alone, when he was around five years old, Foster developed an imaginary best friend that he soon found had an “obsession” with him. He had nightmares about that friend, and since no one else could see who he talked about everyone, including his family, just thought he had gone mad. Thinking that this was happening because he spent so much time locked up in his room, his parents decided that he needed to go outside, no matter how much they had to struggle to get him out there. That was the first time that all the attention had been on him.
One day, when he was six year old, after his mother had scheduled a play date because she didn’t want him being so antisocial, he met Judd Lewis, a neighbor. At first he didn’t want to even speak at Judd (his imaginary friend was scaring him too much for him to do anything) and Judd didn’t really make it any better by hazing him, even if he was only playing around. Then, scared that the playfulness would ware off, Foster did the only thing he could think of, and that was pull out the small joke book he always carried around with him. That seemed to have gotten Judd to take him seriously, a little ironic really, how comedy made someone take him seriously. He supposed they were friends after that. A few months later, Judd introduced him to Ellie, who immediately began to make fun of him, she always teased him for something. Foster actually had friends then, and his “other friend” finally left him alone.
Hogwarts Years: Following in his family’s footsteps, Foster was accepted into Hogwarts, and was sorted into Ravenclaw with Judd and Ellie. During their first two years at Hogwarts, Foster and his friends were obsessed with comedy. Obsessed couldn’t even quite describe what they were with the subject, they were always cracking jokes and telling puns. Their pockets were always full with joke books, though Foster always told jokes from that small joke book he always had.
Though he always goofed around with Judd and Ellie, Foster actually always took school seriously. He always did his best in all the classes, though he had a particular passion for potions. He was one of those who excelled at that one subject while the others he just barely passed. When he wasn’t studying or brewing new potions, he was always cracking jokes with one or both of his best friends. Even with Judd and Ellie, though, Foster continued to be somewhat antisocial and only interacted with others when it really mattered. During his seventh year, Foster caught the mystery disease that was going around along with his two friends and they were all unable to complete the year. They all opted to go back and re-take the year because of this.
