Even though it goes agaisnt his nature he'll intervine if he feels that someone he is fond of is at risk. He dislikes dogs and other Canines but will not hurt them without cause. He loves machinery of any kind but specifically automobiles and Motorcycles.

Early Years: Years 1-4 were pretty normal for a half-blood growing up in america His father Would always educate him on Muggle things like when to cross the street And stuff like that, to this day Jack is still interested in Muggle things such as Music and Cinema. At the age of five on a cold winter day in his family's apartment in down town New York He witnessed the assault and murder of his Father Victor vanheylin at the hands of two masked assailents, In the resulting Rage and anger he set fire to the two assailents and the apartment it self with magic, his mother was able to escape with him rather unscathed the identity of the two dead assailents was never recovered. The next six years were rather uneventful until it became time to be schooled in the magic arts, for this Kathleen took Jack with her across the atlantic back to her Home in the UK where she would enroll him in hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry.
Hogwarts Years: First year at Hogwarts fairly typical if you can call anything at hogwarts typical. He was sorted into his house. He enjoyed his classes, charms and transfiguration. He did well in his classes and studied hard. He mostly kept to himself the first six years only ever really talking to teachers.
Adulthood: It hasnt happend yet.

Jack worked dilligently as he took down note after note as the instructor had told him to paying careful attention not to mispell any words. He continued to work like this only ever stopping to ask a question or two. He continued working as he had been until he heard a bell which signaled the end of classes. As Jack was exiting he notice a fellow student had left their Quill on their desk, he picked it up and gave chase after the student. Catching up to her only about 10 to 20 feet from the door Jack tapped her on the should and said "Excuse me i think you forgot this" He said looking down at the student holding out the quill in his hand. "OH" she said as she turned around "thank you" She said as she took the offered quill and said "i'll remember your kindness, thank you" She smiled and turned back around heading to her next class.
