Julia walked briskly through Hogsmeade, wearing her Rayban sunglasses and a thin cardigan. It was a beautiful day: high in the seventies, sunny, and not a cloud in the big, blue sky. It was a great day to spend with a girlfriend, to catch up on everything that has happened since graduation, though there wasn't much. Julia was still basically the same person that she was in school. Julia walked through the open door to a local restaurant- the place that she told Sophia to meet her at. She got a table for two and ordered two waters with lemon, not sure what Soph liked. She looked at the menu, not looking for anything specific, or even taking the time to read what was there. Julia was too interested in what was going on around her.
Everybody seemed happy, now that winter was over, children could play outside, students could lay out in the sun to escape their schoolwork, and couples could have romantic dates under the stars. Julia loved the warm weather, there was so much more that you could do in it. You could go to the beach, tan, go shopping at outdoor boutiques, go swimming, or just go for a nice walk with a friend. The only time that Julia was inside in the warm weather, was when it was raining, or when she was sleeping, bathing, or shopping. She got it from her parents, they always wanted to be outside, to "enjoy your life while it lasts" as her father would say. And it was true, how much could one enjoy staying indoors all of the time? Sure it was nice to stay inside sometimes, but all day, everyday? That was a task that Julia could never do.
Taking a sip of iced water, Julia thought of what had happened from the last time she saw Sophia, up until now. Not much happened, but what did was fairly significant: Julia moved into her own house, had a few boyfriends (none serious, but boyfriends nonetheless), thought about having a child, and confessed and expressed her feelings to Scorpius. Julia thought about the last two; Soph would have a heart attack when she told her, especially to the fact that she wanted a child. Julia was becoming depressed, she wanted someone to be with her all of the time, and not Alexis, her new roommate, someone that Jules could care for and love. And a child seemed like the best choice.
Julia wondered if she would tell Sophia that she wanted a baby at all. While she thought, she awaited her friend's arrival, nervous about all the things she had to say.
