Roxi had asked to go to the bathroom at the end of class, before darting out. So that meant when the bell rang, she had already ran up to her room and thrown all of the spoils of war- the sweets from Honeydukes- she had been saving for a good occasion. The professor had not been displeased to see her leave. She was more of a distraction to class than she was a pupil.
When she reached the lake, her brother had not arrived. She circled the tree they were supposed to meet at, but he was nowhere to be seen. With a shrug, she kicked off her shoes and slipped them in her bag, before leaping onto the tree, shimmying up to the first branch. She pulled herself up to the second, the third, her bare toes curling against the soft bark. She settled at the top and laid down, sighing contentedly.
She sort of forgot where she was briefly, and her eyes fluttered closed and she mumbled a song to herself. She had rested her pack in her stomach, and now she reached into it, searching around for the candy. When she found none, she tried sitting up to better look in her bag, a little furrowed expression taking over her features. As she sat up though, her balance was thrown askew and-
"EEEP!"
She bellyflopped onto the marshy ground beneath, landing right next to a pair of feet. She looked up and smiled. "Oh! Hi, brother!" She pushed herself up, wiping her hands and looking down at her robes. "Aw, grass stains." She shrugged her robes off and kicked them aside, before pulling her brother into a headlock. "How you doing, buddy?!"
