Mmm. I am eating Gingerbread men, listening to music and lying down on my couch as I write this, very comfy.
But enough insights into my life, I have an announcement to make, sorry for getting off topic.
As the title suggests we've had a few little toss-ups, and it's best for us to tell you now whilst the changes're fresh.
First off, we've decided to abolish the word count. Now, before you throw something at the screen, or on the flip-side, jump up and dance, there's some strings attached.
We here at PA are looking more at focusing on quality, rather than quantity, and for awhile we... well, I've been arguing that we focus too much on quantity, and that many people who may struggle with the 100 word minimum may manage to reach the limit, but are posting some content lacking posts, and have focused more on the padding than the RPIng itself.
SO, we still have a suggested word count of around 75 words, you can dip under it but make sure that your posts have a great deal of quality, else you may attract the attention of admins and mods alike. Anything below 50 is probably not addressing the replies correctly, so we'd urge you to at least stay above that point. Again, we remind you that the admins are always willing to give a hand with writing if you feel that you have room for improvement, we can promise anonymity - we just want to get you posting to the best of your ability.
Secondly we've had a bit of a staff shake up. As you know Chase and Brianna have both resigned as moderators in recent and distant times respectively, and as such poor Soph has been left alone to hold the flag up herself.
Now, i digress. We admins have been feeling we're either losing our touch a little bit when it comes to running events, or that we're being a little bit too omnipotent, so we're doing something to fix that, by giving new powers to two new members of the moderator team who will from now on be in charge of running, creating and managing the site's non-plot events (sorry, we're still keeping those
)
They're two members who joined very recently, and who have not shut up since they did so with their suggestions (I kid, we value any suggestions we receive. We love getting them, because often your events are more fun than ours
)
So, without further ado I'd like to congratulate Aaron Marcheti and Silvyr Svan for their promotion to the Moderator Team, and also to their special roles of event moderators. Their experience and ideas in the subject will be much appreciated and the new aspect will be refreshing, especially for us admins (We all know each other's styles like the back of our hands)
Anyway, for now that's all, there's more to come though, but you'll see those before you hear of them
I can't say anything more else Darren will hit me
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and I hope that you all stay safe and have a brilliant holidays.
The Admin Team((P.S. I forgot to say something! We are running a masquerade party in the Mystery forum for New Years. It'll start on the 30th and IC discretion is a must
))
