GENERAL APPEARANCE:
- Matthew is a very gruff man. He baths and keeps himself clean and all that necessary stuff. He keeps his hair short most of the time so there isn't a need to comb it or put gel in it. And he sports a very nice amount of stubble; never growing a full beard. His hair is darker and he wouldn't want to change it to any other colour. It matches his personality and makes it easier for him to blend in. Which is something he prefers. He uses glasses to read rather that fix his eyesight with magic. His eyes change with the seasons but normally they are brown.
- His wardrobe consists of muggle clothes as well as some wizard robes. He is a big supporter of leather jackets and jeans. He likes to wear sweaters as well and will even wear some nice dressier clothes for fun. He owns two pairs of shoes. A pair of sneakers and a pair of black dress shoes that he will change colour to match his outfit. He knows how to accessorize well and normally wears a silver watch wherever he goes.

PERSONALITY:
- Matthew is a very nice and funny man. He enjoys meeting new people and making friends. He treats everyone equally-INCLUDING WOMEN. But he does enjoy when a woman can take a sexist joke because some of them ARE sort of funny. He likes making people laugh but he also enjoys serious conversation as well. He didn't have much of a childhood so he was forced to mature quite quickly. He's sort of living his childhood as an adult now..but also not really.
- He is a hopeless romantic and hides it all too well. When he mentions it to people they really don't believe him. He loves to read romance novels and watch chick flicks and romantic comedies. Though most of the time he takes comedies or action movies. Not too much of a horror fan but will watch if he's not alone. He is also sort of okay with animated movies if they're pretty alright. Like How to Train Your Dragon (See what I did there?).
- However when it comes time to fight and prepare. He is usually really serious about it. He needs to know the WHOLE plan otherwise it will irk him to the point where he can barely aim his curses right. But that's a whole other level. At most it will make him try even harder to attack.
- He has OCD tendencies and will often mindlessly hum show tunes to himself. He is a master in the art of wand twirling and finger drumming. Matthew will often stare off into space when deep in thought. He is quick on the draw when someone is talking to him or cursing him.

CHARACTER HISTORY

Early Years:
- Matthew didn't have much of a childhood really. He was forced to mature quickly and do odd jobs for his mother. The town that they lived in was very small. The kind of town where everybody knew your name and say hello every morning. So the local business owners were glad too give him money for doing odd jobs. His mother would travel into London nearly everyday and work her job that didn't get her a whole lot of money and come home and spend the night with him. They would talk and sing together while they ate whatever Matt could have gotten from the local market or whatever his mother had brought from the city.
- He went to school of course, and learned his basic information. He was bullied alot, he never fought back until he was at Hogwarts but that's a different story. He got very good grades and all the teachers were incredibly nice to him. He got along better with the teachers than the students. He really didn't have any friends except for his future wife. She was over everyday after school and would even stay when his mother returned home sometimes. Her parents weren't very nice so she was always happy to stay.
- The day he got his Hogwarts acceptance letter was the day his mother quit her job. She didn't think that they would have enough money to send him. But the neighbourhood was happy to help, Matthew was the gem of the town. They never told them what it was for but that he needed schooling money. They all hoped to see him bloom, eventually they came up with enough to send him. He and his mother
drove to London the day before the train was set to depart and got all his supplies. They were second hand of course but Matt didn't care. He was a wizard and he was loving his life.
Hogwarts Years:
- Matthew soon discovered that Hogwarts was very different than regular school. There was no math, no english, no science, not even Phys. Ed.. There was charms, potions, DADA, and flying lessons...he loved it. He was sorted into Gryffindor and was welcomed with open arms. He made plenty of friends and plenty of enemies too. Mostly Slytherins of course but that's kind of expected isn't it? Again, the teachers loved him and he was getting very good grades.
- However he would wander the hallways when he wasn't in class and after hour sometimes. He received a few detentions before he started getting sneaky. By his fifth year he knew the school almost inside and out and was rarely caught. He had a very normal and basic Hogwarts life. Nothing too interesting happened really. He did cause some trouble at a Slythering vs Gryffindor quidditch game though. He was reffing...nuff said.
- The summers however were very different. He requested that he have a tutor three times a week so he could sort of keep up with actual schooling. And his mother had a better job so now they could afford it. And he was keeping a job in London as well. He was only working two days a week but it was worth it. It was when he was 15 he started dating his future wife. And they had been keeping in touch since he was in third year and he had figured out how to get his letters delivered to her without it being his pet owl.
- Now when he was sixteen the bullies tried to mess with him again. Boy did they ever pick the wrong day to test him. He had just been let go from his job and his mother had raged at him. He had started taking weights and his mother accused him of steroids but he wasn't. So he was minding his own business when he felt a sharp pain on the back of his head. The bullies had thrown quite a large rock at him. He felt the back of his head and of course..blood. His wand started warming up in his pocket. But he wasn't allowed to do magic outside of school, unless it was an accident and unintentional.
- But he didn't use magic, he pulled some badass fist fight moves on these idiots. Needless to say, they never bothered him again. And he went right home and apologized to his mother and they never fought again..just kidding! They still fought, they still do to this day. But they love eachother. Eventually he graduated Hogwarts and with that money he had he got himself an apartment in London.
Adulthood:
- He continued to date his future wife into his adulthood as well. But he was doing so many different jobs and could never hold one down. So she was sort of forced into carrying the both of them. And she was a journalist so there wasn't much money in that at the time. She was working for a small newspaper that would take her and well...little cash. Eventually they had to move in together and share a one bedroom joint kitchen living room apartment. It was pretty cramped, but eventually he found a pretty good job at the Ministry of Magic. He wanted to be an Auror so bad but couldn't explain it to his girlfriend.
- When he turned 27, things changed for the both of them. He proposed and let it loose that he was a wizard. He was taking the biggest risk he had ever taken in his whole life that night. Literally, he was suggesting he and his girlfriend of nearly 12 years to get married. Most people figured they already were but they weren't. At this point in time they had bought a bigger apartment and had decided they were going to be together forever. He expected her to run off, but she accepted it as soon as she had proof. Oh yeah, she said yes.
- Finally able to attempt his wishes of becoming an auror he went for it. Bartending on the side and giving decent advice on the side. It was at this point he also decided to take up theater and acting. So he was planning a wedding, training to be an Auror, bartending, AND acting before he was 30..wow. And all this eventually would end in nothing as the day of the wedding came closer and closer.
- He was 28 when he was about to be married. He was so nervous that his causing accidental magic everywhere. It was also on this day that his brother told him he was a wizard as well. As he was joining the family he felt the need for there to be no secrets. And as he was on his way to tell his future wives parents he was a wizard...something terrible happened. His wife died, shot and left for dead outside their apartment. He was devastated, and was never heard from again for a few years.
- During that time he had travelled the world with a DeLorean he had bought from the Wizard black market. He didn't change much, just he had come to terms with the death of his wife. He just couldn't go back to their apartment. So he stayed with his brother in law for a bit and his wife. He eventually got himself a place in Glascow. He still isn't sure what he wants to do with his life at this point. And is job hunting once more. But now his mother was retired and he didn't need to support her as much. And had his brother in law helping him. He decided to go through Auror training once more in case he decided to be one again. Perhaps he might take up teaching....who knows. All he really knows is he's enjoying being on stage in London.
