Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Saddest Death Empty Saddest Death

Post by Jess Potter Sat Oct 22, 2011 12:29 am

Hey.
So I've been reading the series again, and I've found myself pausing every hundred pages or so as I've read through the books and having a sulk at how evil JK rowling is for killing off our favourite characters...

I mean, she had to, it couldn't be a breaking dawn - I'd disown the series if that happened, but it still makes me sad when they die.

So, I want to know what you guys think was the saddest death in the series. I've chosen the ones that made me feel quite sad, let me know if there's any you think should be added, otherwise I look forward to settling this for once and for all.

Jess.

P.S. I'm not including Harry's "Death" because it doesn't last. I will bring it in under popular demand if need be Razz

Fred because he ( as well as George ) was my favorite character. I could not believe he died and I remember reading those few paragraphs over and over again.

It sucked >.>

The movie's portrayal of tonks and remus though...
when they're reaching out but can't quite make it

:'(

Definitely the best protrayed death movie wise, i felt Fred's death was so badly skimped over Sad

My vote goes to Sirius. His death was one of my favorites of the series. The fact that Remus tried to hold Harry back as he screamed created such an eerie mood.

Fair call, but it made me feel more angry than sad, his death was just unnecessary - especially after all the stuff that he and Harry went through to be together + his being pardoned after he was killed... it just ticked me off was all >.>

not that sad though, I just didn't find it all that... sad

Though, in a side-note

Hedwig's death was the one that made me cry hardest... i don't even remember crying for the rest.

But just then I read Snape's Death, and "The Prince's Tale" and it's soo sad.

like D': sad

Oh how horrible are the last few chapters of the last book? Far, far too sad for my liking.. I cannot wait for JK to release all the books of pottermore - I must know her thoughts behind all those key scenes >.>
