There were those who were skeptical when Grindelwald became Minister of Magic. His presence in our community had still been registering and suddenly he was taking a much larger role. For obvious reasons, people were nervous that his intentions for our government might not be as pure as he claimed. However, these believers have been pleasantly surprised in the last few months.
As far as the Ministry, Grindelwald has been streamlining efficiency. The Department for Control and Regulation of Magical Creatures has never worked so well. Werewolf menaces have been losing territory and power. Several troublesome creatures have been dealt with. Any creatures that are seen as on the loose or run now have tabs on them and every day the number is declining. Groundbreaking research is being done every day as well.
Before Grindelwald, the Aurors were nearly useless. Since he took power, one incredibly dark wizard has been captured- Rupert Thyme- and even more have been investigated and are close to being captured. Reinforcements have been made on Askaban, making it completely impossible to escape. It is also reported that there may have been a deal struck with Felix Barker to stop his attacks, as since his last victim Chase Moor, there has been no other incidents.
Hogwarts, though the new year has only just been conceived, has been refocused back onto academics. He has cut back on time outside of the castle, and class attendance is already back. Grindelwald is even planning on sending experts in certain fields to go to the school and teach specialty classes and lead workshops.
Since Grindelwald came into office, it has become apparent that the Death Eaters are hardly the menaces on society, as there has been no violence caused by them. However, Rupert Thyme admitted to being an Order spy trying to protest Grindelwald’s place in the Ministry. Grindelwald has promised to ensure that these menaces claiming to be an Order established to ensure ‘peace and justice’ will be revealed for the hypocrites they are and brought to real justice.
Naysayers have changed their tune. Grindelwald is in power, and proving to be the worthiest leader the Ministry could hope to have.
