IN ADDITION,
Kendall's reputation has been cultivated successfully. The Rookwoods have not only managed to maintain their wealth, they have also kept their blood purity, so far. This familial achievement allows Kendall to be comfortably respected as a proper product of established Pureblood families. In addition, the young man has proven to be successful in conducting himself in ways befitting and expected of a member of the elite house of Hogwarts --- Slytherin. Yet, one would find that Kendall is oddly agreeable among students from the other houses.
Similar to his father, who undoubtedly brought his son up well in his ways, the young man is a cunning opportunist. The world is a playground, and people made the best toys. Lacking typical human empathy, Kendall lives for the amusement he derives from luring people into friendships and relationships with him, before he begins to push their buttons for his odd sadistic humour. Yet, he does this in an overwhelmingly harmless fashion of deceptiveness that he manages to still be well-received but all alike. Certainly, some do question his intentions. After all, one is never always perfectly charming. Kendall stays away from these people; best to look for other fishes in the sea than be engrossed with the danger of hooks that could overhaul his entire façade.
Significantly, Kendall doesn't take anything seriously. He may be persistent, but it's only because he thrives on challenges. This has worked well to spur his ambition to triumph. However, the world is one big joke to him. This frustrates the people close to him because Kendall simply doesn't have it in him to care. He thrives on the sadistic jokes that both the world and he can orchestrate. Eventually, much much later in life, Kendall will be hit with a crisis that completely changes this. Till then, he doesn't grow up from his selfish and childish attitude. He would continue enjoying a rather good life of thriving on the misery of others.
