Because We're One

Naomi and her pack had curled up in the Shrieking Shack after the battle. She had felt her arm burn- the tattoo remained in her wold form too- but she could not show up to the meeting as a great white wolf, now could she? She had led her pack home, helped clean their wounds, and now they settled down to ride out the night.

A few hours passed and they slept, making snufflings, legs twitching, usual doggy dreaming type things. Naomi was the only one to awake at first by a sound. She lept to her feet and sniffed the air. Colby lifted his head and sniffed. He lowered his head. It's Hyde. Naomi relaxed and ran to the window, barking out it to aide Hyde on his search.

Hyde pounded upstairs excitedly, shaking and panting. Naomi ticked her head but Hyde was repeating the same word over and over and over again, the name of the person that his fur smelled of. Naomi shivered with excitement and turned back to her pack. She had to get to Felix, and they were about done.

She awoke them with a bark and said I have to go. I will be in contact. You made me proud, my family. She nudged Hoover with her head, grabbed a leather sack by its strap in her mouth, and then turned, running out of the room, down the stairs, out of the house. She called to Hyde and within a moment, he was at her side. They ran together through Hogsmeade, out of Hogsmeade, through streets on towards Felix...


Hyde stopped at the door of his new home before glancing around. He ran towards the back and wriggled under a fence. Naomi followed and they trotted through a yard. They walked up to the door and Naomi heard a click. She glanced up and spotted a security camera. Oh, Felix...

The dog in her wanted to go sniff around the yard, but Naomi wanted to get inside. The lights were off- the Death Eater meeting had not ended. She sighed and suddenly, sunlight hit her back. She turned and gasped. The sun was rising.

She ran towards the middle of the yard and there she crumpled. Her bones began to break and re set, she began to grow, fur painfully retreated back into her skin, her face changed. She howled in pain and the sounds slowly became more human. The bag had fallen away but after a minute of this agony, a human hand scrabbled for it. She reached inside and found her wand, slowly performing a few handy spells that helped with the pain..

She stood and shouldered the bag, walking up to the door. Se unlocked it with her wand and let Hyde inside. She closed and locked it behind her, before touring the new place quickly. She could hear distant cries below- ooh, new captive. Naomi focused on finding Felix's bedroom...

She did and she went straight for the dresser. She opened his drawers and found one of his old shirts and some gym shorts. She changed into them, smelling them and shivering. she brushed through her hair and walked over to the bed, collapsing on it. She gathered up the blankets and inhaled... Felix...

And now, she waited for him.

Felix frowned and pushed open the front door. He was exhausted, and confused. The meeting had last longer then he thought it would.. and he had been given a lot to think about. But for now.. he just wanted to curl up in a corner and go to sleep. Hyde trotted into the room, and Felix ruffled his head. "Hello Hyde... how are you doing?" he asked softly, going into the kitchen and giving him some food and water. Moving around the kitchen, he got himself something to eat, and after he was done, he took a quick shower, and headed into his bedroom. Going over to his drawers, he pulled out a shirt, and some boxers, and quickly stripped down to nothing, before pulling on his boxers, and pulled the shirt on over his head. He had yet to notice the figure on his bed.

Leaving the room without a glance towards his bed, he laid down on the couch, and turned on the tv. He could hear yelling coming from the basement, and he frowned, standing up and going down there, being careful to place more spells that would block out the noise the chick was making. He was down there for quite a while, and during that time no sounds were heard from the basement, and finally he came back up, washing some blood off of his hands, and wiping his face with a towel. "Damn brat.." He muttered to himself. Hyde followed him up the stairs, and went to the bedroom door, attempting to push it open with his nose. "What Hyde?" Felix asked, frowning, staring at the door. Hyde clawed at the door, and then turned and looked at Felix knowingly. Felix shook his head. "Silly dog... I'm not going to sleep yet.." he said with a laugh, before he went to the couch, and laid down again, watching some muggle T.V. and slowly dozing off, his head resting on his arm, as he lay sprawled out on his couch.

Felix walked into the room and Naomi's breath caught in her throat. He did not seem to notice her, which made sense, since her pale hair and skin probably blended in with pillows and sheets- not to mention she had the blankets pulled up to her nose. Instead, she hungrily watched him going about his business, still ignorant to the fact that she was behind him, waiting...

He left and she listened. Her heightened senses had still not faded, and she could hear his words to Hyde, and then the gentle fading of his breathing. She sighed and slopped out of bed and walked into the kitchen, grinning. She found some power bars and she ate three, one after the other. She was exhausted but she wanted to focus on Felix.

Finally, she moved into the living room and stared at him. She felt a small crawl onto her face, and she walked over to the TV, turning it on mute. She walked over to the couch and bent over, kissing Felix's forehead. She slipped onto the couch and curled closer to, taking in a big smell of him- mmmmm... Felix.. She moved her lips to his ear and whispered, "Pretty lame homecoming.. don't you think?"

Felix had nearly fallen asleep, when the T.V. was muted, and he didn't really notice it, suddenly he felt something light and fluttering dance across his forehead, and he mumbled, thinking he was sleeping. But then a body was pressed close to him, and his eyes shot wide open, his face inches from Naomi's. "I'm in heaven.. I think I've just died..." He said, his eyes taking in every inch of her face greedily. "Am I dead?" He asked softly, before he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her with all of his might. How long had it been? Since he had been caught... Naomi passed out on the floor behind the table, Hyde running and getting her out of there as Felix passed out, and was taken to St. Mungos... St. Mungos to fix him up.. before they threw him into Azkaban.. how long had it been?

Felix hugged her hard, tears nearly spilling from his eyes as he took in her scent, her face.. her. She was here.. they were together, and the world would tremble at their feet! Felix sat up and pulled her closer to him, joy showing on his face, as he slowly brought her face to his, tasting her lips for the first time in months. He kissed her, his arms wrapping around her, pulling her closer to him. "Naomi.. where have you been? What have you been doing?" He asked, when he pulled away, staring at her hungrily, an odd look in his eyes. His appearance was still rough from his time in Azkaban, and he looked like he had lost a lot of weight too. His eyes were sunken in and had a dark outline to them, which almost made him MORE handsome, a dangerous handsome, instead of an innocent one. And now his eyes were taking in her looks, seeing how healthy she was, seeing if there were any scars that he would need to avenge. "Did they get you? Did they capture you? Were you hurt? If they hurt you so help me, I will kill them all! Every last one of those bastards!" He said and hugged her again, this time, tears really did escape his eyes. When you're away from the one you love for so long... you almost forget how much you miss them, because you know you might not see them again... but when you see them again.. it's like the whole world exploded and you are just so happy.. the only thing you can do is cry.. even if it's not manly.. he was so happy.. he just wanted to hold her until he died.

At his words all she could do was smile, because she and he both knew that he was very much alive.. She could tell because she could feel the beating of his heart against her. He held her tightly and she managed to get her arms around his neck, her hands threaded into his hair... This was bliss. She finally managed to say, "You're not dead, but this has to be near enough to heaven."

And then he was kissing her. She kissed him back, hungrily, passionately, as though she could do this for the rest of her life. He asked how she had been after they surfaced and she stared at him. "I'm fine.. I'm a Death Eater now.. And I have a pack.. I've been trying to get to you. It hasn't been easy. I saw you tonight and I wanted so badly to get to you, but I.."

She paused, a wild look in her eye. "I've been getting back at the world for keeping us apart. I let myself get bitten, I've been leading a pack of werewolves.. Killing muggles and terrorizing children." She paused. "Don't be mad. I had to do something. I'm gaining power and influence.. I can help you get back at people, and I have my own agenda too." She addressed his other questions quickly. "I'm fine, I'm fine! I'm with you aren't I?!" And again they embraced and she held him tightly, terrified he would be torn from her arms.

Felix held her tightly, but when she said she was a werewolf, he held her at arms length, staring into her eyes, searching her face. "A werewolf?" He asked softly, his eyes staring at her in disbelief. "Are you.. you.. you were that one werewolf! The white one.. that was staring at me.." He whispered, his eyes as wide as saucers. "And a Death Eater... Kid.." He said and shook his head, running his hand through his hair. "You didn't go to the meeting.." He said softly, shaking his head, and then grabbing her arm a little roughly, on accident, and looked at the mark that lay there. "Elldir made it sound like I might be taking over the Death Eaters.." He said softly. "Went on about how I'd make a good leader..." He said his eyes searching his. "Naomi.. we could take over... we could rule... Grindelwald wants to take control of the Ministry.. if we take control of the Death Eaters.. the world would be ours.." He said seriously. "First Britain.. then we expand to other countries in the area... once we have Britain.. it won't be to hard.." He said slowly, his eyes twinkling.

"The world would be ours Naomi.. me, you and Grindelwald.. on the top... we could do what we want.. and no one could hurt us again.. no one.. we could get married... and have children." He said, moving so that he could be closer to her. "Marriage.. does that sound okay to you? I did propose.. do you still have my ring? We could be married.. I'm sure someone in the Death Eaters has the rights to perform a wedding ceremony.. if not.. I could always kidnap a priest.." he said with a small laugh. "Married Naomi.. you and me.. and we could live together for the rest of our lives.. no need to run.. no need to fear, kidnap.. torture, kill who ever we wanted to... just me and you.. on top of the world." He said lightly and pulled her to him roughly, taking his lips with his, grabbing her and holding onto her, so tightly, it was almost like he feared the world would take her away from him again.

For a second, she was afraid he would not be able to accept her as a werewolf, but it seemed he had noticed her at the battle. She grinned widely. "Yes, that was me. You sort of took me by surprise." She grinned. He spoke of the meeting and she said, "I felt the burn, but I could not go. I was still really furry." She grinned playfully, watching him.

At his words about possibly taking over, her eyes widened. "Really? Oh- Felix!" She threw her arms around him, kissing him, holding him oh so tightly. This meant everything. He seemed to be speaking her thoughts. He was working to control the Death Eaters, she was working to control the werewolves. They could right the wrongs of this terrible place, through a flurry of spells and teeth.

He continued on and said something about marriage, and children. Marriage she was ready for. Children- well, every werewolf was weary about that. Maybe when they had a fortune and could afford a nurse and a nanny. But if she had Felix and she had her pack, she was fine. She said softly, "The ring's in my bag. I have to put it away around full moon. I'd marry you in a heartbeat. Whatever you want." And she pressed his lips against his again.

Felix was bursting with happiness. It had been to long.. to long to have had wrapped his arms around her, bury his face in her shoulder and just take in her scent. To long... to see her lovely face, and when he looked at her, he could tell she had grown up some.. she was more mature looking, more capable of handling herself.. he could remember when he first got her.. lashing out at him.. the fuzzy handcuffs... protecting her... realizing they had a lot more in common then the kidnapper and the kidnapped. Gone and kidnapped Khaat, killed and tortured... their time running away. Felix felt it all, all of their connections, all of their love, and the fact that they wouldn't be here together if he hadn't of grabbed her at random because she had recognized him.

Felix held her tighter, moving her into a position, where she could sit on his lap, and he could hug her as much as he wanted. "I will never leave you again.." He said softly. "Ever.. not if you don't want me to.. I'll do whatever you want, people fear me... but they don't know I'm powerless against you.. if you are ever angry at me.. I'd off myself to make you happy.. if you hated me and never wanted to speak to me again.. I'd leave you.. if only to make you happy! I love you Naomi Barker, always will.." He said and kissed her gently, holding her closer to him, and curling up with her on the sofa, content at last to have her in his arms.

He pulled her onto his lap and continued to hold her, tightly. She leaned against him, closing her eyes as she rested. She was exhausted- what with transforming into a wolf, the battle, transforming back into a seventeen year old.. She sighed. So much had changed. Both she and Felix were thinner, their hair a little crazier than usual. His was longer, hers had been chopped shorter. His eyes were sunken in like hers, but right now both eyes had the same intensity..

He began to make promises to her and she saved each one. "I'll never disappoint you, never hate you, never let you get taken from me again. I will murder, torture, beg, die to keep you in my arms." When he called her Naomi Barker, she felt chills run down her spine and her arms. Her face broke into a grin. "I love you Felix." She wrapped her arms around him, kissing him back and curling close, wanting no space between them.
