Take control of Hogwarts and take control of the wizarding world's future. The key to this affair was simple, so much as he delighted in the pleasures of the flesh, Lucius left the massacre to younger, more eager minds and made his own way deeper into the school.
To the Headmaster's office, in fact.
Although it would undoubtedly have been endlessly entertaining to recite potions ingredients until the gargoyle moved aside, Lucius hadn't the time. With a word of apology, for he would require its use when he eventually took this office as his own, he blasted the statue out of his way.
The office itself had been desecrated. The ancient furniture that had been passed down through generations had gone, replaced by something that, if Lucius was a muggle, he would think had come from an IKEA catalogue. As Lucius was not a muggle, or even muggleborn, he simply assumed Edgar Doyle had tried to decorate his office in a minimalist style and failed.
Other objects, however, Lucius did recognise as distinctly muggle in origin. A television took up one corner, and this he blasted to smithereens, simply for his own satisfaction.
Feeling much better, he locked the door of the room against further invasion and applied his wand to the tattoo on his arm and watched with satisfaction as an eerie glow lit up the sky outside.
"
Morsmordre."
