Khaat had lost track of time. She'd been out here in the rain and the cold for heaven only knew how long. She just didn't remember. When she'd gotten over the worst of her emotions, she realized her wand had a long crack running almost the full length of her wand, clear down to the core. She didnt' know when that had happened, but maybe that was why when she had tried to apparate out, she'd only end up a few feet from where she had started. So she had gone back to the familiar grey stone where she felt some safety and curled up there again in the long, overgrown wet grass. There was no shelter. Not unless the wind blew a different direction every so often and allowed the stone to shelter her for awhile.
This was truly a fine mess she'd gotten herself into. She had no idea if she and her father could work out anything. And any relationship she had had with Eli was done. She didn't see that ever changing. There was no life here. Only death. Hopelessness. But still, when she had apparated out away from her father, this was where some part of her brain had wanted to be, she supposed. Here with Remus. She hadn't been here in a very long time, and the grave showed it.
She began to pull the overgrown grass away with her hands. Remus deserved better. He deserved for someone to care about him. And so long as she was here with nothing better to do, she might as well clean up the place a bit. She was getting a bit annoyed at being cold and wet now, and she was beginning to hate rain.
