Anyway i thought i would share this i found it on google after i randomly searched potter's army on it. I have to say some of it like the Khaat and Co. part i think is just B**** about nothing (clearly they havn't seen Ne'Os lol) but there are some parts that should be payed attention to like the order members using curses and the plot issues between the order and death eaters.

Anyway open for discussion kinda interested on what comments will appear because of this.

I found this awhile ago, actually. Someone has been advertising this in their sig for some time,I just read it and realize we will always be criticized. I even took the post about my own writing and took it as constructive criticism. It's not nice, but it's free speech.

I am ... so amused. xD Drying spells work a charm. P:< I think he prefers using watercolours when he's outside though. Not sure. Who knows. xD I should but I don't. Drying spells FTW! To my knowledge though...he hardly ever re-uses brushes. LOL. He just gets new ones because he's a spoilt little sod. Monstrous posts help me mainly...uhhm...Jackles, I love you. xD Rock'n'roll. ;D

I do agree with some stuff there. Like the sex, half the topics here are about that. You'd think people don't have anything else to roleplay about. The order (and students) using unforgivable spells is also a good point. The rest is quite rude, but its her blog, shes allowed to write whatever she wants.

This is obviously written by some PA member. From my own personal, non-admin point of view, whoever this is needs to have the balls to talk to me themselves. Otherwise, its nothing but a bit of rude noise as far as I am concerned. I will ignore it like I do any other belch or fart someone makes.

I would just like to say that i have only just now seen that drivel that some one has written . I agree with Khaat when she says they need balls to actually talk to some one about how they feel and not go behind the site and its loyal members back.

I have been on this site for 2 years jessica darkangel is my long standing charature and as far as I am aware one of a few original members, not counting admins.

I love this site and all on it, even if I do have minor spats now and again but so goes the progreshion and growth of a person and charaters threw a single site and it's members.

I do agree with the sex thing, sex is not every thing, most of mine are involved in deeper plots here .

Jess and jack black heart ar learning to cope with his wearwolf side .

Steven is building a relaship with his new wife and twins.

Cassidy mitchell is coming to terms with the fact some one cares for her and loves her and that she is carrying his child at the same time terrified he will leave her .

So as you can see, there alone is not sex based. But I do agree, if they haven't done it in RL or have child charrys it should not be dicussed or rpied .

Personally, I have enjoyed reading these entries (I too came across them before this thread); if we, as writers, can’t take constructive criticism, we shouldn’t be writing. It is as simple as that. Every author in the history of literature has been criticized in one way or another, and some may have improved because of it. We look at our work in a way that is similar to a parent looking at his/her children; we are fond of our creations, and we are proud of them, but what we see may be different than what that other mother from daycare sees; perhaps our children aren’t as adorable and pleasant as we believed. If you brilliant writers are offended, perhaps what was said wasn’t entirely correct- or maybe you need to give your characters another look.

Also, it is quite clear that, if you have not discovered who the author of these posts are, you did not read them all the way through; there are footprints everywhere. =P

Potter’s Army doesn’t “suck”, but that is my personal opinion, but because I am entitled to that opinion, I believe that it would be hypocritical of me to say that this blog entry was named incorrectly.

I think it's good that there's some constructive criticism being put out there. The only issue I can see is that these blogs haven't been posted here so we can discuss them. For example in Khaat's situation, she hasn't had any chance to defend her characters. They're good points and I think they should be talked about more.

I do agree with you all, in certain regards, and I think I disagree with most of you, in certain regards.

Personally, my big issue with it is the handling of it, it's actively driving members away from our board, and as Ne'os said, it appears when you google our name - a great deal of our members have come from doing something just like that. If I saw a site's name and just below it a blog entry saying it sucks, I probably would read the blog entry, laugh, then think that if someone hates the site so much then it mustn't be that good.

I also think that use of our name in that manner is actually illegal, as is the criticism of Khaat like that, it mightn't use her RL name, but it is a defamatory comment nontheless, and would fall under torts law - in that a wrong was done to her. Khaat now has the right to sue Selwyn. Or Liss (In RL)

But I doubt she would, too much effort, too few results.

Yes I personally would take it constructively, but we all know (Or at least I do) that Khaat and the person in question (If any doubt as to who it is remains, I shall leave it that way) have a running background, and I fail to see how "Kill it dead" is in anyway constructive. No, this was not written with the intention of being constructive, this is written with the sole intention to attack. (That section at least)

Other points I can agree with, and they are things I've brought up in the past, so I wont touch on them again. Personally I think that the content itself (Other than the attack on Khaat) is intended to be constructive, or at least just sharing a view, i believe in being entitled to your opinion, I just believe that some opinions are not suitable for sharing with others. You wouldn't walk up to a holocaust survivor and shout heil hitler, it's just insensitive, and while I dare not comparing that event and this one, I think it's enough to put my opinions out.

But the question I ask is if you hate us so much, and you think we're all rubbish, why not just leave? I don't want any member on this site to feel unwelcome here, and I'm not implying that you should in any way. But I think that if this is a chore for you, or it's something you dread facing in the mornings, maybe this isn't the site for you.

Your most recent post is a valid one. Why do we care? Well, it's a good question. I think it's simply human nature, maybe it's because we (Or at least I) Don't naturally see everyone as just another person, or as an enemy of some sort. Every stranger has a backstory, and every one deserves the same respect you would expect to be given to yourself, so perhaps it comes down to personal beliefs. If you're someone who is naturally disposed to like people I think that having an attack set against you by someone (Whether that's what it is or not) is going to upset you. I'm not sure, I don't think anyone can really explain why people as individuals care, but that's about as close as I can get to explaining it. If it's not very close, or makes no sense, well like I said, it's as close as I could get.

All of the above was said in my personal opinion, the views of the administrators, or of anyone else on this site were not shared in it, nor is there any more weight behind my arguments than those above mine, it's just solely the way I feel, as I sit here in my robe in front of the telly.
