Why is life so hectic?

Hitame needed to get out of the Gryffindor common room. There was always something that ruined her day. Always. One of those things, well most of those things was her older brother, Xemnas. They always fought, and it was over the smallest and stupidest things. Now all she needed was to be away from basically her whole family. She knew that they wouldn't think of looking for her in the Owlery, so that was where she was headed.

She needed to sort out her thoughts and feelings. Most of all she just needed to be away from Xemnas so she wouldn't fight with him. She remembered their arguement over there parents, before they knew they were brother and sister. They didn't know they were fighting over the same parents, she was protecting his parents without knowing they were hers as well. But she knew she had been right. Xemnas couldn't hate his parents just because of the mistakes they made. He could dislike them, but not hate them. She made it to the Owlery and as she walked in, she felt calmer than usual.

All her thoughts of her hectic life, vanished. All the owls there just made her seem at home. She loved owls, which made her wonder why she had gotten a cat as her pet and not an owl. There was one owl there that seemed sad, Hitame didn't like seeing sad animals or humans for that matter. But when she saw an animal like that it made her sad as well. Hitame always liked animals and prefered them to humans. SHe walked over to the owl and put her hand on its head and began to pet it.

"What's wrong, little guy?" she asked it. It flapped it's wings and shook it's head, trying to get her hand away from it. It thought Hitame was going to hurt it, and she understood that. She pulled her hand away and smiled at it. "I'm not going to hurt you." she told it, showing it she wouldn't by moving her hand completely away from it.

Sammy had been back to school now for only a week. She wasn't making any new friends or being able to keep her old ones because of what she had done, so it was hard for her to be at school sometimes. The one friend that Sammy could trust in the most was a graduate. Sammy couldn't wait to graduate and not have to worry about going to school anymore. So today she was headed up to the owlry to send a letter off to her best friend Sophia Lestrange. She was wearing her Hufflepuff robes and some white nike sneakers. She had been busy with school work at the library and didn't get the chance to change back into normal clothes. She walked into the entrance of the owlery to see Hitame trying to pet an owl. By the way the owl was reacting to her she could tell that it must be a slytherins owl. "It must belong to a Slytherin." Sammy said walking up to stand next to Hitame. Sammy didn't have to worry about Hitame being afraid of her, Hitame was there when Sammy was changed back into being good again.

Hitame turned around, startled, to face Sammy. she hadn't seen her in a while since she met her in Knockturn Alley. As she thought about that, she realized she hadn't seen a lot of people since she found out Sammy had hurt Xemnas and after visiting Xem in the hosital wing and having yet, another fight with him. She tried her best to smile but she couldn't force one, not with Sammy.

Even thought she knew she was good again, having been there, she couldn't quite forgive her for hurting one of her family members. "Yeah, I know. That's why I'm trying to befriend it." she said with a sour tone, that she had never used before.

Hitame was going through a tough time, since Xem has basically given up most of his hopes and Naomi and Sora being younger than her, means that she has ALL responsibility over them. Xemnas isn't much help anymore. The girl everyone knew to be Hitame was basically gone. She was getting into more fights, and trouble now. Seeing Sammy now made her want to scream at her that what happened to her brother was all her fault. But she knew Sammy wasn't being herself, so, struggling, she held back the urge to scream at her.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, her voice shaking from the anger boiling up inside her.

Sammy could hear the restraint and anger behind Hitame's words. Having talked to Ryo and him telling her what was up with Hitame already. Sammy knew exactly what was bothering her. Sammy wanted to shout out that it was all her fault and that she wanted to help her to feel better and if hitting her was how she would feel better than Sammy was ok with that. While thinking about this a scar on her back started to itch. The memory of another woman getting her revenge on her for killing her husband. Sammy was taking alot of pain and upcomence for her actions over the last month. So what was a little bit more from a little 2nd year. "Oh I'm just sending a letter to Sophia. She wants me to keep her in the loop on how I'm doing at school." Sammy said trying to keep her self from crying. It was harder than she thought. Finally Sammy turned her back to Hitame and walked to the other side of the room. She couldn't take it anymore. She had to help Hitame in some way. "Hitame, I talked to Ryo. He told me about your new family and that everything is my fault. I just can't stand that I hurt you and your family. Xemnas was a friend of mine before I was turned bad and I hate that I hurt him. I want to make you feel better. I want to help you. And if hitting me or cursing me is going to make you feel better than do so. I don't care what you do to me." Sammy said feeling the tears leave her eyes now.

Hitame watched as Sammy walked away from her. She looked at the owl that she was trying to pet and it seemed that it could feel her hurt, and it moved toward her, putting its head under her hand. Hitame smiled and listened to what Sammy was saying. "It is and it isn't your fault." she said flatly. "I know you were bad at the time when you hurt my bro-" she stopped for a moment. "Xem. But because of you Xem is hurt and he's basically just given up everything!" she said softly her voice shaking even more.

She clutched her hadn into a fist as Sammy finished talking, but instead of trying to hit her, Hitame fell to the floor and began to cry. Besides fighting with Xemnas, crying seemed to be one of the things she did the most now. And it was always because of Xemnas. "I can't hit you or anything." she said softly. "I just can't." she choked.

She continued to cry and started wondering where Xemnas was. She hadn't seen him since the last time in the hospital wing and she knew he wasn't there anymore.

Sammy was a little bit surprised that Hitame didn't take the offer to hit her. But that just ment that she was to kind or to sad to do it. But then Sammy watched as Hitame kneeled down to the ground and started crying. Sammy wanted to rush over and comfort her but she wasn't sure if Hitame would want her to. So she decided to use her words to try and make her feel better. "I'm sorry Hitame. I guess that's all I can say. I wish that I could take it all back and make everything good again, but things happened and can't be taken back. There is one thing I can promise though. I will go and talk to Xem, I will apologize to him and try and make him feel better. I will even have Sophia there with me. Sophia is great at making people feel better. That's one of the reasons why she became a healer." Sammy said knowing that her words probably didn't do much to make Hitame feel better. But Sammy could only try, that's all she had left.

Hitame looked up at Sammy, her vision blurred from the tears in her eyes. "I th-" she sniffled "I think Xem might not forgive you easily. He's very stubborn, and you don't have to worry about him thinking you are still bad." she said, wiping her eyes and trying to get up. "A few days after Sophia turned you good again, I went to see Xem, not knowing he was hurt at the hospital wing." she explained. "He told me that you hurt him and that it was his fault for putting his trust in a Hufflepuff vampire."

"He said he didn't want me hanging out with Ryo or you because of what happened to him. But I told him that you were good again, and I don't think he cared much." she sighed. "So don't feel bad if he tries to harm you, and I want to see him anyways, so when you do see him I wanna be there." she said, standing up, her tears stopping.

She looked down and didn't know what else to say except, "Be careful around him, for now." She knew Xem would try to hurt Sammy if she got near him. "I want to go with you for two reasons. The first one I already said, I want to see him. And the second one, I want to keep him from harming you."
