GENERAL APPEARANCE: Jake is about 5'10 and he has brown hair and green eyes. He is strong and usually doesn't care how he looks. He prefers to wear dark colors over bright ones, though he does wear a mix of light and dark colors when he needs to, like on special occasions. But other than that he will usually be wearing black, blue or gray.
He slouched a lot and finds it difficult to stand up straight. He might have a bored expression on his face most of the time, even when he is doing something that most people would find fun. Up until his 5th year at Hogwarts he had glasses but his parents arranged for him to get contacts.

PERSONALITY: Jake is very intelligent, though he doesn't show it much. He is usually with his friends. Sometimes he is reckless, but he tries not to be. The only time he shows he has more potential he wants people to think is during class. He loves to answer questions and show off how much he studies. But he becomes very shy after he answers and someone congratulates him.
He doesn't like being around people who think they are better than everyone else. The only people he really hangs out with are his two friends. When he isn't with them, he is almost always alone. He is pretty short tempered so if someone he doesn't like is around him, it could possibly turn into a fight, thought he tries to stay away from anyone he doesn't like.

Early Years: Jake was born to Maria and Luis Collins and he is the oldest of two children. Jake and his father always went camping when he was young. When he was 5 years old Mayleen was born. Jake was overjoyed when she was born. He had always wanted a little brother or sister and he had gotten his wish. They were all happy with Mayleen around. The only con that Jake saw to Mayleen's arrival was that he would be blamed for anything bad Mayleen did. Since he was the oldest he had to watch out for her and if anything happened to her he knew he would be the one to take the blame.
When Jake was 10 and Mayleen was 5 their parents planned a trip for them to go camping all together. Jake was excited to be going camping with his whole family and not just his father. But, Mayleen didn't like the idea, since she wasn't very fond of nature. She convinced her mother to stay home with her since she didn't want to do so it turned out to only be Jake and his father like it usually was.
Hogwarts Years: When Jake got his letter from Hogwarts, his parents and uncle were thrilled. They had got everything ready as quick as possible and Jake couldn't wait to get to Hogwarts. He had been looking forward to going for a while and he was finally getting to go.
When Jake arrived at Hogwarts he was scared he would never fit in. Knowing how he was he thought he would never make friends. But he was wrong, not long after he got there he met a boy who quickly became his friend. They were both sorted into the same house and their friendship grew. During his second year he met a girl who became his friend quickly as well. They trio did almost everything together and they had most of their classes together. The girl was also in the same house so they spent most of the time together.
