Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

New Friends Are Everything Empty New Friends Are Everything

Malowney walked quietly into the Leakey Cauldron. It was about nine, so a hush fell over the inn. The barkeeper was tiredly working his way through his night shift, and Malowney shuffled towards him.
"Yes?" the barkeeper asked.
"Um...one Butterbeer, please," Mal said.
No, she wasn't intending to get drunk, before you ask. She was just having a drink or two. She was parched.

Mis didn't even know Why she was here, in London. She was still a student, and she was supposed to be at school, not walking around in the dark streets. She frowned and entered the leaky. There was no way she'd stay here for a night. No. She'd rather go and visit her mother, and see her daughter. Not that she actually hated this place. It was way too boring here.
“One butterbeer, please,“ she asked the barman. While he was getting her the bottle, she layed the coins on the counter. She wasn't alone here, though. Mis looked at the lady who, and gave her a quick nod. Finally she got her bottle, and she stepped away from the counter, and took a seat next to the fireplace. Reddish flames warmed her up a little. It was quite cold outside, and probably the main reason why she even got here in the first place.

Malowney looked up at the entering girl. She watched as she immediately ordered a drink, then sat by the fireplace, where Mal was sitting. Mal, rather surprised, looked at her, then walked over to the counter and ordered some pumpkin juice. She was watching her ways now - it was not a good idea to get drunk. Malowney walked back to the fireplace and sat down where she was before. She was too shy to actually talk to her, although making new friends would be perfect. In the end, she just gave a soft smile at the girl, then turned back to face the fiery red hot flames in the fireplace. They crackled, almost as if they were laughing at Malowney.

She ignored this, and sipped down some pumpkin juice. Ah, the relaxation of the Leaky. It was just like heaven to a graduated Hufflepuff like Malowney.

She didn't know that this place was taken. Mis looked quite surprised when she saw that the woman who she last saw next to the counter was sitting now infront of her. Of course she could go and sit somewhere else, but when she saw a smile, she presumed that it was okay for her to stay there for a while. Since woman didn't start talking, Miseria thought that it was her, who had to do something. She stole her seat, now didn't she?
“Quite charming place, isn't it?“ She opened her bottle, and placed it on the table.

OOC: Forgive me my short replies. I don't even know Why it is like that. xD

Malowney looked up as the girl started to talk to her. She didn't answer. She wasn't here to socialize, she was here to have a few drinks. But it looked rather unfriendly to just leaving the beginning of the conversation hanging, so Malowney replied.
"Yeah..I guess so," she said. "I came here last night.." Before she got carried away, Mal stopped, then looked straight forward at the girl. She sighed. "Are you a student?"

Miseria couldn't hold it back. Smile rolled on her lips, and she looked quickly away. She didn't want to make this first meeting more awkward than it already was. In fact it was a miracle that she was the first one to start a talk. People should give her an award for this!
She didn't have to wait long. When woman replied, she looked back at her, and nodded when she asked a question. “Sadly or fortunately yes, I am a student.“ Sixth year. One year to go, and she'll be free! And finally – finally! - she can make everything up for Dakota, and be with her, raise and teach her. That little redhead didn't probably even miss her much. She was way too used with Khaat, and her mother.

Malowney smiled as the girl said she was a student. "Well, shouldn't you be at your classes?" she asked calmly, looking the girl in the eyes wisely and a spot of intelligence and wisdom in her voice. She looked more carefully at the girl, and saw that she was smiling. "What are you smiling at?" she laughed, taking another sip of the delightful, sweet taste of pumpkin juice. She examined the girl. Were they born to be friends, and to entertain each other?

New Friends Are Everything Empty Re: New Friends Are Everything

“Shouldn't you be at home?“ Mis raised her eyebrows. It was So much like her to ask questions back instead of giving a normal reply. Of course she should be at school right now, but today she didn't feel anything like that. Her thoughts were blurred, and it was complicated to concentrate on studies.
Since she didn't have anything to do at school, and she had became really lazy that she didn't even read anymore, she figured it would was better idea to get outside, and walk around in London. “It's nothing,“ she assured her. Indeed, there was nothing special about her smile. Only the fact that she hasn't seen new people around lately. Or it was her who was hiding in the shadows all the time and keeping away from everyone?

Malowney grinned. "Adults can be wherever they like!" she laughed. "ESPECIALLY when it comes to the sort of party places like the Leaky Cauldron. Here. In other words." She spoke calmly in her faint French accent, then smiled again. "I know it's SOMETHING. Perhaps you can tell us when we're better friends." She chewed on a stick of bubble gum then offered the girl some chocolate. "What's your name? Mine's Malowney." She smiled and quickly blew a bubble, then laughed. "Muggles call this bubble gum. You chew the gum then blow bubbles. Would you like some?" she asked. She often took strawberry chewing gum from her pocket so she did.
