Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Holidays and the Yule Ball Empty Holidays and the Yule Ball

Heyo Everyone.
It's that time of the year again. Whether it's "The season to be jolly (Tralalalalalalala)" or the "Most, wonderful time of the year", or just that time where your neighbours keep you up late with flashing lights.

And with that time of the year comes the Yule Ball! Whenever we admins deem it time for celebrations, we make them Smile

Anyway, here are all the details you'll need.

  • The Yule Ball will commence on the 18th December, and conclude on the 8th January.

  • It will be held in the Great Hall at Hogwarts

  • Everyone will be allowed to attend.

  • It will primarily be a mass-thread. Try and mingle with people you don't often RP with. You all have your best friends on this site, I don't think it'll damage your relationship too much if you spend one event not being around each other. Try and make new friends Smile

That's it for the Yule Ball, any questions, or suggestions, reply here Smile

However, there's a fair bit going on at the moment, so I figure I'll include some extra details here.

  • From the 20th Dec till the 1st Jan, it is Christmas Day on PA. You don't have to celebrate it, however if you want to open a Christmas Day topic, it must be in that time. They may go longer than the 1st though, if it's a long topic.

  • New Years eve/Day will be running from the 27th Dec till the 7th Jan, I know there's some overlap there between Christmas and New Years, but you can have more than one topic running at once can't you? I really doubt anyone planned on having a topic that lasted from Christmas till New Years, all in one topic.

  • We will be holding an official New Years Party, it'll be held in Hogsmeade, everyone will be invited to that one as well. It will commence on the 27th, and conclude on the 13th.

So, I THINK that's it, but If i've left anything out, feel free to suggest or ask, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Have a Happy Holidays!!
