Lesson 5 - N.E.W.T. Level

(Yes... I know... but since I am ghastly late due to RL tasks, I shall skip the new intro for now)
Bloody hell, he came here only to be the Headmaster, and to think that he had almost been denied that promise, and now he is limping to the Dungeons to teach Potions... all over again, to hormone raging brats who have absolutely no interest in these bottles filled with colorful liquids. Yes, he had been some sort of puppet Headmaster, but he did actually have far more authority than anyone thought, which made him a powerful nemesis to those who wanted to control him, but more on that later, right? He sat on top of his desk, starting to play with his cane, waiting for the brats to arrive.

Jack had been surprised to find that she had been doing fairly well in Potions, a class where her lack of patience and failure to approve of taking instruction usually failed her. She had managed to do well, somehow, and did not feel incredibly rotten going to class, just the usual rotten she felt about having to attend any sort of class. She pulled her bag higher on her shoulder and slipped into the class.

She was stopped in her tracks when she realized she was the first one on the classes. What was with this weird thing this year that kept causing her to be early to her classes, rather than late. Particularly Potions... She had always been fairly early, whereas she had not arrived on time to a Transfiguration class for the first four or five classes.

"What an interesting turn of events," she narrated, smirking. She turned and headed over to her usual spot in the back, dropping her bag with a thunk next to the seat. She was a little curious about what potion they would be making, seeing as Doyle sometimes let them keep them and they could be of use to Jack for Wheezes, so she had learned to treat Potions class more like a business opportunity.
